@bob36544977 Why not? It was still very much the Ahsoka show, but other protagonists will of course be in it. The plot revolved around the new galaxy/Thrawn’s return. Thrawn is directly tied to Ezra, Sabine and Hera care about Ezra and Hera’s job is to protect the New Republic.

@krismills566 I mean that first statement is nonsense, but yeah, they want you to watch future seasons, that’s kind of how it works. This story is far from over, no one is safe. I’m sure we will see characters in this ‘Mandoverse’ die, just probably on the big screen.

@Knuckle_HeadTV All Disney Star Wars shows have no plot. They have to make episodes for you to come back. The story is just so you have to watch season two. That’s the difference in Disney. Before we got to see actual people die and not die for a split second and magically saved.

@Diacritic I thought they were great 🤷🏼‍♂️ Hayden was as good as ever, the actress who played Shin might be the best dueler since Hayden, Baylan had his own unique and powerful style and Ahsoka was very samurai-esque. Best since the prequels imo.

@Jtfang23 I believe it was designed as a home for the characters, which is part of what makes it great. I also love the symmetrical shape, the colors/lights, the phantom, the guns, everything. To each their own, but it’s certainly the best new ship under Disney imo.

@Vladisl49705263 @Olly_0224 I’d argue Mando S2 was a hit and that Ahsoka at least landed with the diehards, despite a rocky ending, but unless this film was going to tie in to some much larger story, yeah it had no chance. Favreau himself said Disney forced them to push out a film.

@Olly_0224 @Knuckle_HeadTV they dropped the ball at least 4 times (obi wan, book, ahsoka, acolyte, partially mando s2 and def s3). how to maintain interest in a product, based on a show, that logically should have ended in s2, 4 bad shows and 6 years after the hype. it was doa, even if it was a masterpiece

Andor is the most critically acclaimed Disney Star Wars project, and rightfully so. Lucas’ work is uniquely special, but Andor will certainly persevere. That said, The Mandalorian generated quite a bit more interest. First live action show, baby yoda and some viral moments.

@SteinmarkJ92189 @miguel_4703 @TatooineSons I’ve dealt with the same thing as a big fan of Filoni’s work. I even like Andor a fair amount, but to some, everything that’s not Andor is ‘repetitive slop’ (nonsense) and it’s not ok that some people just prefer Star Wars that’s more STAR WARSy

I love Revenge of the Sith When people say the dialogue is cringe or some action is over the top, I get it I like Andor. Fans can love it all they want, but it shouldn’t be hard to understand that some prefer the more mythological style of storytelling.

Andor is a good show, but not BECAUSE of its different tone. Ahsoka still manages to push things forward and be creative while embracing classic Star Wars.

To say that’s a problem is to say you want all Star Wars projects to have the same tone and vibe as if done on a template, that’s how you kill creativity and make things feel like repetitive slop
