Quick update on our next fusion conference in Malta. We are almost finished finalizing our speaker list and hope to secure enough funding to offset the cost of young investigator short talk and poster presenters as in previous editions. fusion-conferences.com/conference/159

@CterminiPhD @CterminiPhD - depends upon the qualifications of the mentor, not rank. Any F grant for which the mentor lacks mentorship experience (obviously tends to apply to early-stage investors more than established investigators but not always) should include an experienced co-mentor.

Questions to the community: 1) Do postdocs applying for F32s in labs of junior faculty still need a co-mentor to appease reviewers? 2) Can the co-mentor be at Associate level, or do they need to be hella established?

Looking forward to another exciting conference with great opportunities for interaction between trainees, early stage and established investigators.
