Padres not posting about pride is shameful, hope I’m wrong.
San Diego Padres@Padres
Happy #Pride Month! The Padres are proud to celebrate our LGBTQ+ employees, fans and community 🏳️🌈

@stonedelta1966 @bennyjohnson It’s not who votes as much as who counts the votes
English

@bennyjohnson Benny, with them having the governor and all of the liberal state judges, this race was fixed from the beginning.
English

@Bartman51 @RyanCohen24 He never even heard of this kid before but suddenly it’s the best thing that has ever happened
English

@RyanCohen24 In the minors has 13 home runs that’s 12 more than Peds Tatis jr

Pads need any offensive bump they can get. Excited to see Bowen get his shot
Kiley McDaniel@kileymcd
OF Jase Bowen has been called up by the Padres, per source. He was a 2019 11th round pick from an Ohio high school that’s now set to make his big league debut. Bowen has hit 13 HR and posted a .962 OPS in AAA in his first season for the Padres after six years with the Pirates.

I'm sick and tired of the Vatican apologising re: the atrocities perpetrated towards People of Color coming in dribs and drabs. These atrocities are documented and in the Vatican library, Pope Leo et al must apologise for everything bad the church has done & pay reparations •
Don Salmon@dijoni
The Roman Catholic Church and the pope finally apologized for slavery. They sanctioned the slavery.. They sanction the Portuguese and the Spanish to enslave the Africans.. They also get cut from the profit.. made the Roman Catholic Church extremely rich. They must pay reparation.

@J_Dizzle_Yall @TalkingFriars The best closer in MLB is sitting on the team with the worst offense
Indeed he’s pretty much useless
English

@TalkingFriars Got a straight up weapon like Miller and can't even use him.
English

@TalkingFriars You glazed the signing of this guy too - like all Padres signings
English

@PakaloloSixty7 @thestevenwoods You are a Low IQ Dem Dancer Schill

@TALKINFRIARS @thestevenwoods That wasn’t illegal in his country
And you believe chicken fights are worse than child molestation ?
English

@thestevenwoods If Diaz is back with the dodgers why can’t wander play? They broke laws in other countries
English

@PakaloloSixty7 @AlDavis4Ever @thestevenwoods When the photos come out of his Becky beaten to a pulp - the 911 call - the body cam footage — it will all be over
English

@AlDavis4Ever @thestevenwoods Josh Jacobs is innocent until proven guilty.
English

@Nomadhidinghere @thestevenwoods Their revenue stream is also at its virtual ceiling. They have few if any ways to grow revenue more than it already is. Attendance is great but they will never have the real money from TV
Post season money is big but they are one and done WC every year
English

To be fair, the people who bought it are morons. They bought it at the peak of the organization's revenue-generating capability. As soon as the organization becomes uncompetitive, which will inevitably happen, revenue is going to tank. Payroll as a percentage of revenue is going to increase, and the organization is going to be mediocre for years in both revenue and competitiveness. Those owners are going to take a bath.
English

@randy_beans2003 @JesseRogersESPN MLB also knew ownership was asking for $100m in loans on top of loans they already requested.
The gate revenue and tv deal (lack there of) scared the shit out of a lot of suits
Also it’s a business - MLB makes more with Judge in NY
Judge used Padres to get NYY to table

MLBPA interim exec director Bruce Meyer holds up the Padres as the example for all teams: "We want to encourage more San Diego's. San Diego is a small market team that went out, decided to compete, signed a lot of players. Turned around their franchise...they are successful. They've grown attendance, they've grown interest, and we've all seen the explosion of their franchise value."

@DodgersNation @CameronKiszla If I was a sports player I really wouldn’t have a social media footprint
For Godsakes block all DMs
Probably best to burner it if you just want to get info
English

Tanner Scott and his family received death threats on social media after he gave up 3 runs against the Phillies.

@DKeane911 @NFL_DovKleiman That happens when Roger Goodell's contract is up. (2027) If the owners aren't happy that the NFL is pushing it, they don't renew Goodell's contract.

Matt Chapman on Giants fans making threats against him and his family:
“Yeah, it’s bad. I got off social media, stopped looking at it — but it still seems like only the negative stuff finds you, right? You should see my DMs. It’s people saying, 'I hope your family dies'. People threaten us all the time, I just block it and whatever, I don’t make a big deal about it, but it’s just not cool. I would never do that to anybody.
People can say what they want, it’s a free country, but they don’t know what goes on behind the scenes. They think we’re not playing well, we must show up an hour before the game and don’t prepare, but we’re here, we’re working hard, we want to win, we feel responsibility to win.
All I want to do is win and I know how bad our fans want to win. I want to do it for them and us, for all the right reasons, but this is the day and age where people feel like they get a voice to just spew negative stuff. I don’t think that people would say that to people’s faces — I’m not saying that in a confrontational way, but it takes the human element out of things. It’s not going to ruin my day, but it doesn’t make me feel good.
I think the thing that probably bummed me out the most is when people are calling for me to get pushed out of San Francisco. Over the last two seasons, I feel like I’ve been one of the best third basemen in the game — if I didn’t get hurt last year, I feel like I was right on my way to repeating the year I had in 2024 and having a great season. It doesn’t feel good when you feel like people are so quick to turn your back on you.”

@Coach_Yac @ChrisBabcock2 I think it’s more gamblers losing money and blaming the player
English

@ChrisBabcock2 They’re definitely insane. I get we’re frustrated with how the team is playing but making death threats? It’s not that deep wtf
