This is being widely condemned across Israeli society. By contrast, the overwhelming majority of Palestinians support Hamas and October 7. That Israel isn't perfect doesn't make it a close call who the good guys are in this conflict except in the minds of the morally bankrupt.

@ProSeSelfHelp @chadcmulligan Seems 1A suspect. But as relevant to this thread, it shows both that the factual claim is true and the statement of opinion that you're a stalker has a strong factual basis (not that the latter point matters). This ain't even libel in Canada for goodness sakes.

@Calibremag @TheGunBlog Doesn't New Brunswick have the highest firearm ownership rate in the country? I would expect they'd have quite a number of gun shops. Even Home Hardwares and Canadian Tires out there often carry firearms.

And it's a strange one, because given the timing, I'd have wagered it was about the confiscation of firearms from businesses (as that program is expected to commence this fall, with the individual confiscation program pushed to 2025). But on the other hand, it's an email to New Brunswick RCMP reservists - and to be blunt, there just aren't that many gun shops in NB that I'd expect the CFO to need help... an odd request, to be sure. This is absolutely grotesque and also no different from what doctors in Canada tell families of vulnerable people daily. Nobody in the Canadian left who supports our euthanasia laws can be opposed to this.

At the lake, I am reminded of my mom's Water Rules. Rule 1: NO SWIMMING WITHIN 1 HOUR OF EATING. Not so much as a toe in the water, or I would DIE of a STOMACH CRAMP, regardless of how much/little I ate. After 3600 seconds one can swim, except Rule 2: WEEDS WILL KILL YOU.
