Not a good luck for @KirkmeyerforGov this morning, insulting some of Colorado's most dedicated Pro-Liberty Republicans... "I don't know who does Liberty Scorecard... I am not sure what their full process is... it's kind of a scam... it was put out by, I think, people who consultants who make a heck of a lot of money off the scorecard..." Total misinformation, possible dishonesty and embarrassingly out-of-touch... I'm sure the @Liberty_Score team would love to know where all that money they are making is at! I've tried to be fair to the Senator, but her comments are so insulting here that I had to say something... Here's her comments from the Jeff and Bill Show this morning on @710KNUS

I'm sure you both remember Principles of Liberty that Rich and Laurie Bratten ran for many years. When they went to Wyoming, Liberty Scorecard filled in the gap!

A “deal”… or a sellout? Leadership came to me with an offer, and I want YOU to decide if this sounds like leadership… or surrender. They wanted us to: NOT read bills at length for the rest of the session (yes… seriously, by human OR computer). Ram through the budget, long bill, and 130+ amendments in ~12 HOURS (what should take a FULL WEEK of scrutiny) And in exchange? Weekends off And most of “minority leadership” had already signed onto it!? Let me be clear: I did NOT run for office to rubber-stamp legislation While they’re cutting backroom deals, Colorado families are dealing with • Small businesses getting crushed • Kids priced out of ever owning a home • Education ranked 37th in the nation • Crumbling roads • Rising violent crime • Victims of trafficking and abuse with no real accountability for criminals And THIS is when leadership wants us to stop doing our job?? No reading bills. No debate. No accountability. Just hurry up and go home. So I’m asking you Does that sound like a “deal”… or a betrayal of the people we were elected to represent? Because I’ll say it plainly: If you’re not willing to fight for your constituents, Why are you running for reelection? In the end, not enough people signed on to the deal, so I am hopeful to see a big fight today for what is right.

Many of Colorado's most active Republicans are at Caucus or Assembly today (or were this week), so let's breakdown the races they should focus on in 2026. First, let's look at the Congressional Results from 2024 to get an idea of which seats are most likely to be in-play. Congressional District 8, currently represented by @repgabeevans is really the only seat that could switch parties this year. Republicans need to rally behind Rep. Evans and ensure he doesn't lose to a radical Democrat who wants to take our guns, mess with kids or raise our taxes.

Things can change very quickly in the State Legislature! A bill can start out as a good Pro-Liberty policy, but then get amended to become a massive expansion of government. That’s exactly what happened with HB26-1033, the Tamale Act. Originally, this bill would have expanded Colorado’s Cottage Food Act to include temperature-controlled food. Unfortunately, the bill was amended in it’s first Committee Hearing to now include a registration component that would require EVERY cottage food producer in Colorado to register with the government! What was once an increase in our Liberty has become a major expansion of government! In this video, Brandon breaks it all down and includes a clip from this last week’s Legislative Livestream.

I'm glad this one didn't make it... Committee Hearings are a place for the public to have a voice in their State Government. People should be free to speak without fear of retribution if they make a mistake. Imagine if a regular person, who just wants to have input on our government, says something incorrectly, should they be prosecuted? And for those of you who've been in a Committee Hearing and a Hostile Legislator challenges you by badgering you or trying to get you to contradict yourself, you know this would be a disaster. We'd have far-left legislators targeting political opponents, trying to get them to make a mistake and in legal trouble... Think of how lawyers try to get witnesses to slip up... is this what we want from a Committee Hearing where citizens are providing their opinions on legislation? And finally, the worst part of the bill was that it specified that "an oath is not required for legislators speaking at a committee, legislative staff testifying or presenting to a committee within the scope of their regular duties, or state agency personnel or other individuals giving a planned presentation such as a SMART Act hearing or JBC budget hearing." So the bill doesn't apply to legislators or government employees? C'mon! This bill would have chilled the speech of regular citizens and exempted those in government. Bad bill.

This afternoon, @RepTyWinter's bill was killed in the State Affairs Committee. This common-sense bill that would have required individuals testifying before a committee to take an oath affirming that their statements are true and accurate. The proposal was designed to promote honesty and accountability in legislative hearings, but it was killed in committee.
