“…drawing down more federal matching money for health care creates a self-perpetuating loop of increasing costs in pursuit of increased federal funding.”

Colorado is now the second-most-expensive state to live in, according to @CNBC. And it falls below the national median in areas from infrastructure to business friendliness to education. This is exactly what business leaders have been warning about: tsscolorado.com/colorado-drops…

URGENT: Call and Email Douglas County Commissioners and URGE them to "SAY NO to the Surveillance State!" On Tuesday, July 14th, the Commissioners will be considering a proposal for interconnected License Plate Readers (LPRs), drones and AI software to track and monitor everyone in the county! From Lloyd Guthrie: "According to DCSO documents, there are currently about 200 AXON LPRs installed in Sheriff vehicles. In addition, there are approximately 64 fixed FLOCK cameras throughout the county and Interstate 25. Data obtained from these devices is shared with other law enforcement agencies. DCSO has a recently updated policy regarding these technologies. "The ten-year contract is valued at $22,772,754 (about $2.6m per year). Details of the agreement are contained in the twelve-page quote from the AXON corporation. "Apparently, this project will replace the current 64 FLOCK cameras with 113 Axon Outpost LPR, for a net gain of 49 LPRs. "In summary, the DCSO proposal calls for the following components. "113 Axon Outpost intelligent license plate readers. "20 Skydio X10 Drones: “A highly advanced, AI-piloted aircraft designed to handle tough weather conditions. It is equipped with top-tier optical and thermal cameras.” "2 Skydio F10 Drones. and "AI-based Software" that will connect it all together! If you want to stop Colorado from becoming a total surveillance state, please reach out to the Douglas County Commissioners and URGE THEM TO SAY NO TO THE SURVEILLANCE STATE!

This is the crowd at a Denver DSA general meeting, and it looks exactly how you’d expect.

URGENT CALL-TO-ACTION: On Tuesday, July 14th, Douglas County Commissioners "will consider a proposal to significantly increase the number of interconnected license plate readers (LPRs), drones, and AI software in the community." Contact them and URGE them to "SAY NO TO THE SURVEILLANCE STATE!" CALL: 303-660-7401 EMAIL: bocc@douglasco.gov Commissioner Abe Laydon, District I Commissioner George Teal, District II Commissioner Kevin Van Winkle, District III They all need to hear from voters and residents of Douglas County! STOP THE SURVEILLANCE STATE! From State Rep. @Bob4Colorado on Monday July 13th: "So the DougCo BoCC tomorrow on its consent agenda is not just almost doubling the number of surveillance cameras in DougCo but exponentially increasing their capacity and networking. See attached. No general public comment allowed with the DougCo BoCC and no comment on consent agenda items. "This is also in conjunction with providing the John Adams Academy a sole source contract for security drones from a firm out of TX because JAA did not budget properly for a SRO. So rather than help them fund a SRO, they are just going to sole source contract this unvetted drone technology for active shooter situations (as if that is all it can be limited to . . .)."

Three measures. One goal. Protect Colorado kids. 🛡️ Triple the Protection. Vote YES on all 3.
