Currently, RTD has 15 elected board members who are ALL elected by the voters in the communities that are PAYING TAXES to keep RTD functioning... If passed in it's current form, SB26-150 reduces the 15 elected members down to only 9 members! ONLY FIVE MEMBERS WILL BE ELECTED! The other FOUR will be appointed by the Governor... The whole purpose seems to silence citizens, and push a mass-transit agenda without proper regulation by the people!

HB26-1222 isn’t just one bill, it’s three rolled into one to dodge the Taxpayer Bill of Rights. A new spending program + new taxes, bundled together to appear “revenue neutral”? That’s not transparency, that’s a workaround. This amendment is simple: 👉 Separate the spending from the taxes 👉 Let the people of Colorado decide If this stands, it sets a precedent for future tax increases without voter approval. Coloradans deserve a say. Businesses deserve a fair shot. Families deserve to keep more of what they earn. This amendment restores accountability.

If you are interested in Sports Betting, or the credit card/swipe fee debate, tune in to the House Finance Committee this afternoon. Rep. deGraff's good bill to reform Civil Asset Forfeiture is also being heard!

HB26-1250 — What it does (and what it doesn’t do): This bill is about fixing broken incentives and restoring accountability. ✔️ Addresses gaps in how the system is currently being applied ✔️ Removes structures that reward the wrong outcomes ✔️ Brings clarity and fairness back into the process ❌ It does NOT do what opponents are claiming ❌ It does NOT expand government overreach I have to ask, will the GOP try to kill this in Finance as they attempted in committee before? Frankly, I don’t think they fully understand what this bill actually does. This bill will be heard TODAY.
