Are you really that naive? Or are you simply stupid? Don’t you realize that the U.S. is protected by vast oceans? All American bases were negotiated with the host countries to both, protect the host country, and facilitate the logistics of longer farther missions. The problem is that Germany, as well as most European countries became comfortably reliant on U.S. to protect them with American bearing most of the cost. Things must change. Things are changing. For me, American first. For you, Germany first. I am perfectly fine with that.

US troops are not in Germany to protect Germany. They’re there because the US needs bases to conduct operations beyond the North American continent. If Trump withdraws them, he will harm the United States, not Germany. It’s absurd how many Americans fail to grasp this.

@NicolaKegel @Strandjunker You talk about Russia being a threat when all Trump does is anything that wont upset Putin. Has he made a major decision against them? Also the states has made ALOT of money selling weapons through its military influence. Not as much of late due to decisions like this.

What you fail to grasp is that it’s not one or the other — it’s both. Against whom do you think America wants to conduct operations from Europe? We’re talking about countries within reach of Europe — for example, Russia or Iran. If those countries become a threat, who will they target first? The nations in their immediate vicinity — that is, the European ones. The US is an ocean away and does not need to concern itself with those countries to the same degree. Europe has partially closed its bases or airspace and refused cooperation on Iran. If European countries do not want to act as partners in international operations, those bases become useless to the US. If Europe does not want protection from threats such as Iran’s nuclear ambitions and terrorism, then Europe will be on its own. The United States is far less affected by Iranian aggression than Europe. If Iran acquires a nuclear bomb, it will not fall on US soil. America is out of reach — Europe is not. And at the speed at which Europe is allowing itself to be taken over by Islamists, it may soon be safer for the US to cooperate with Russia against a future European threat than to leave weapons lying around in countries like Germany — countries that seem to have a death wish for their own culture and population. Our childish leaders and you, Andrea, simply fail to understand or acknowledge this reality.

Viktor Gyokeres still gets questioned, even though he’s now got 12 PL goals in 30 games this season (18 all comps) while adapting to a new team, and Arsenal players adapting to him. And against a good Bournemouth defence today. Still gets questioned even though his character not in question: never hides, never stops showing for the ball, also looking to run in behind. Takes responsibility, and those penalties of his are hard, fast, well-placed and rarely stoppable (4/43). Gyokeres has occasional quiet games, but never lacks effort. Arsenal need to look to get him in behind more. #ARSBOU
