दिल्ली सरकार ने जनकल्याण की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण निर्णय लेते हुए राशन कार्ड के लिए EWS आय सीमा ₹1.20 लाख से बढ़ाकर ₹2.5 लाख वार्षिक कर दी है, ताकि अधिक से अधिक जरूरतमंद परिवार मुफ्त राशन योजना का लाभ प्राप्त कर सकें। इस फैसले से राजधानी के हजारों ऐसे परिवारों को बड़ी राहत मिलेगी, जो अब तक आय सीमा के कारण सरकारी राशन व्यवस्था से वंचित रह जाते थे। सरकार का उद्देश्य है कि कोई भी जरूरतमंद परिवार खाद्य सुरक्षा से दूर न रहे। साथ ही, CBDC आधारित नई व्यवस्था के माध्यम से राशन वितरण प्रणाली को और अधिक पारदर्शी, सरल और सीधे लाभार्थियों तक पहुंचाने की दिशा में भी महत्वपूर्ण कदम उठाए जा रहे हैं।
