@mike_petriello Goodman was a revelation last year and clearly a GUY for many MLB teams, and seems like Rumfield could be another find for them. If they can find 2-3 more guys in the system, Karros, Condon, they could have a squad by the time Holliday is ready.

@ChrisRoseSports Bucknor has been an "ump show" guy for a while now, and this situation just highlights his ego problem.
It really seem like he was offended by the first challenge, and wrung up Suarez on the next, clearly outside, as payback. Only to get busted again.
English

@PitcherList That swap spiked his K% in ST (21K/15IP) and seems to be a change that held for the regular season. Obviously, he doesn't have the raw stuff to blow guys away, so will have to keep commanding the 4-seam, but this seems like a class "skill change" vs luck scenario
English

@PitcherList Eh man, I think that's a bad take on Hancock...
First, the Sinker sucks & was his worst pitch in '25 (xBA .316/xSLG .459), so regardless of shape, it just wasn't working for him. Looks like he basically cut that down to 'show me' usage and replace with the sweeper.

@EricCrossMLB I don't know man, he was a dumpster fire all spring with a 35% K%....that's one stat that usually stabilizes fairly quickly.

Jordan Walker is doing his best to make us all believe again.
Could the breakout finally happen this year?

Opening weekend was a disaster for my roto team. Chourio IL, Skenes clunker, deGrom scratch.
Still had a blast.
Here are actionable notes to help get you ready for Week 2. Link in bio.
Brendan Tuma@toomuchtuma
Wrote notes on every team's rotation, closer situation, and early batting orders. As actionable as possible for Week 2 waivers and lineup decisions.

@RealShelfy Buckner has been a piece of sh!t for so long, he just figured he could get away with the revenge K call there.
Time for the Angel Hernandez treatment and usher him out of the game.
English

@JonHeyman Skenes got jobbed by two bad errors by his CF, and Boyd inexplicably threw nearly twice as many FB has he normally throws....which he doesn't have the velo or shape to get away with. Not sure either are WBC issues.
English

@GekkoIndustries Taking a victory lap on two pretty rough errors by the CF is wild level of hater
English

Be honest…am I the only one who ended up with zero Skenes shares this year and didn’t even have him cracking my top four SPs?
Jon Anderson@JonPgh
Paul Skenes out of the gate 0.2 IP, 4 H, 5 ER, 1 SO, 2 BB, 37 pitches, 5 whiffs, 13.5% SwStr%

@MLB_Rainmaker @TalkinYanks I'm sorry you got exposed.
Tough scene for you.
English

@Marcus_NY10 @TalkinYanks Lol, whatever you need to tell yourself to protect that fragile ego...
English

@MLB_Rainmaker @TalkinYanks You tried to make a point. It got broken down and exposed. You tried to move the goalposts and only made a bigger fool of yourself.
Status quo for the casuals of this app.
Tough scene.
English

@Marcus_NY10 @TalkinYanks Ah, so you're just a troll then...
Next time just lead with that
English

@MLB_Rainmaker @TalkinYanks Again, you're rambling incoherently about things I haven't said. I've complained for year about the Yankees development process.
English

@Marcus_NY10 @TalkinYanks If your tact here is that this conversion causes injuries, your Yankees lead the league in pitching IL days over the last decade...so maybe your team should take some tips from the White Sox, who have the least injury days...
English

@MLB_Rainmaker @TalkinYanks Michael King? The guy that can't stay on a mound?
Jeff Springs? The 32 year old that's seen 100 innings twice?
Reynaldo Lopez? The guy that's thrown 100 innings once since 2019?
Drew Rasmussen? The guy with two 100+ innings in his career at 30 years old?
Humorous.
English

@Marcus_NY10 @TalkinYanks Ah, yes, the Yankees are soooo much better at developing pitching....with only two (!!) homegrown pitchers on the entire 40 man
English

@MLB_Rainmaker @TalkinYanks And using a team like the White Sox, who will use and abuse arms early because they know that they can't retain them after arby, really isn't helping your case for coming off as anything other than a reactionary casual.
English

@Marcus_NY10 @TalkinYanks Jeff Springs, Drew Rasmussen, Reynaldo Lopez, Seth Lugo, Michael King....how long you got???
The White Sox are doing this with three guys now. I'm sorry you're unaware, but the path works.
English

@MLB_Rainmaker @TalkinYanks You named two unicorns. Imagine how many names you could come up with that completely failed on that same arc.
English

@Marcus_NY10 @TalkinYanks Chris Sale and Gavin Crochet's careers would suggest otherwise...
English

@TalkinYanks People are so reactionary. He wasn't ready, regardless of the great spring. Kid has 70 innings at AA, and needs to keep getting reps as a starter. Throwing him in the pen right now at the MLB level is a complete waste of his development.

My favorite 2B target behind Matt McLain if you want to wait on 2B!
