Genuine question:
Did we not re-image his ankle prior to his first return? What about prior to his second return?
If we only just now performed imaging to determine that he’s not yet ready to return… it seems like incredible malpractice.
@therealBeede if you ever get an opportunity to inquire about this… I’d be extremely interested to find out.

The idea behind not making a move at the deadline was get the team healthy, and hope they can play to the potential indicated by a small sample size early in the season.
You get Franz back for two games, two separate times, and now you’ll most likely be without him for at least a month.
This season is in dire straits.

Wagner has missed 25 of the last 29 games since sustaining the high ankle sprain on Dec. 7. This continues a run of injury woes for the Magic. Over last season and this campaign, Orlando's trio of Wagner, Paolo Banchero and Jalen Suggs have played in only 14.1% of games (19 of 135).

Say the top player has a $50M offer from the Jazz and a $3M offer from the Lakers. The player’s sponsors (Nike, Adidas, etc) will say we’ll pay you the extra $47M just to go to the bigger market, and the player will take it every time.

Can’t imagine his trade value being very high given his history, age, and coming off an ACL. His contract also isn’t ideal. HOWEVER, he is exactly the type of PG that would allow Franz and Paolo to flourish. I wonder if there is a workable deal this summer between DAL and ORL.
