Deputy killed in Porterville, California, during a shooting Thursday morning. Deputies were serving a search or eviction warrant (conflicting reports) in the area of Newcomb and Grand in Porterville when the suspect, identified as David Morales, started shooting. The wounded deputy had been pulled to safety and taken to the hospital, where he died at 11:20 a.m. The suspect is still considered outstanding, and shots are still being fired. Everybody is asked to stay away. Let law enforcement do their work. Pray for the family of the fallen deputy. Pray for the officers still at risk.
