It was a lame movie in almost every way imaginable Setting aside the casting, it had poor pacing, the characters were bland, there was no chemistry nor tension between most of them, muh practical effects held back the movie from feeling epic in scale, action scene choreography was awful, thematically the movie made no sense (because Odysseus is simultaneously deeply regretful for sacking Troy yet more than eager to slaughter the suitors at the end instead of even trying to find a peaceful resolution), and I could go on... There are plenty of good movies which are flawed, but I genuinely see no redeeming qualities that justify overlooking its flaws let alone the humiliation ritual casting decisions I genuinely don't think that I am being unfair, this movie has so many actual issues, and I feel like right wingers who say that they liked it are just being contrarians Enjoy whatever slop you want, but don't lecture others for pointing out it's obvious flaws
