Today I stood with the Gowanus Houses community, @BLMGreaterNY, and civil rights advocates to demand justice for my constituent who was violently beaten by two officers. Those officers must be held fully accountable.
Iโve been in touch with the Mayor, Police Commissioner, and the Brooklyn DAโs office. I appreciate the Commissionerโs swift action in removing the officersโ firearms and badges, and the DAโs decision to drop charges against my constituent.
I join the community in calling for a full investigation and prosecution. We must end police violence in NYC.
