@DavidDavisMP We always knew the ECHR rulings were politically motivated. They will allow the EU policy to continue unhindered, without doubt. The question is what the UK can do if this goes ahead regarding past judgements.

Given how hard-line the ECHR was on the UK's Rwanda policy it will be interesting to see how they respond to this new EU policy. Their choice seems to be between allowing it - which would be hypocritical and arguably makes their UK judgement look political - or blocking it, which will be spectacularly controversial and may bring their continued existence into question. thetimes.com/article/00c538…
