She was given two to five years. Well, today marks the 12th anniversary of my wife’s brain tumor diagnosis. It has been quite the odyssey. Leigh is my hero and an inspiration to so many.

@TimGavrich If he misses the shot and Kentucky gets the rebound, the game is most likely headed to OT. They had no timeouts left. They got a better look after the made basket than they would on a miss. The kid made a 1-in-100 shot.
English

@MarkGodich I hear you on the OReb potential, but it’s risky because it’s far from guaranteed. Shooting at the end of the clock gives SC 100% control over their destiny in that scenario. I’d rather head to OT on my own miss than another team’s desperation make.
English

After Oweh tied the game with 10 seconds left in regulation, it was insane that Santa Clara didn’t call timeout when they crossed half court. Yeah they hit a 3 to go up 3 before this shot, but a proper play-call would have set up a shot as time expired. Bad coaching IMO.

@sterling_short @mitchdwx @mid_madness Because he’s, um, doing his job, hustling down the court to be in position to make a call. Sendek should’ve looked for the ref who was on the baseline. In any event, he was late asking for time. Should’ve been ready to call it as soon as the ball went through the net.
English

not the shenanigans smh

Herb Sendek signaling TO after the basket to go up 3
English

@mitchdwx @mid_madness He didn’t call it in time. And I don’t know how in that environment you would expect a ref who is 20-30 away and with his back turned to hear him in the first place.
English

@mid_madness I don’t think he called it in time. The ball was already being inbounded

So good. And so true. Having spent 25 years in the Northeast, this hits home. There’s also the tease of sneaking in a round in early March, only to get socked by a foot of snow a week or two later.

@Boys_Vox Just when you think it can’t get any worse … every day brings more absurdity.
English

@ChaseDaniel @McShay13 @danorlovsky7 The fourth-down sideline throw against Mizzou was ridiculous. Blanket coverage.
English

@McShay13 @danorlovsky7 I just don’t get how you can watch Tennessee & Missouri (unfortunately) & not think he has everything you need/want for a franchise guy.
English

Glad to have you and @danorlovsky7 on board. It was a lonely, choppy ride this winter.

There’s just not a lot of guys in the country that can make this throw…. Someone’s going to be lucky to get Ty Simpson

@DanaONeilWriter They need to get him in front of the judge who’s a Bama alum

@byEliHoff I think the relevant number is 13 out of 20 years, which is more than I would’ve thought. The 2% figure is skewed because some if not a lot of those teams didn’t have a regional in their home state. btw, it’s happening twice this year with Cal Baptist playing 90 miles from home
English

Here's a stat for you:
In the last 20 NCAA Tournaments, teams seeded 9-16 have played a first-round game in their home state just 13 times.
The last No. 10 seed to play in its home state was in 2008.
#Mizzou is among a very lucky few. Some history:

Love this level of petty. It's kind of embarrassing to have CBS have Bruce Pearl on the show campaigning for his son and Auburn.
SMU Basketball@SMUBasketball
We can’t all be named Pearl.
English

@slmandel When you’re obligated to have those Tuesday night shows, that’s what happens. Imagine having just one live reveal at the end of the season.
English

@mickshaffer @Krew723 And a de facto home game for Cal Baptist. The horrors!
English

Seth says the Quad 3 home loss to Ole Miss killed Auburn. Pearl responds by saying the loss wasn’t that bad after seeing what Ole Miss did in the SEC tourney, failing to mention that Ole Miss entered said tourney having lost 12 of 13. The only win in that stretch? Over Auburn
PowerMizzou@PowerMizzoucom
Bruce Pearl discussing Auburn being snubbed with a 17-16 record is legitimate comedy.
English

@KyleTuckerCBB Put the kibosh on that, didn’t you? And I fear Ole Miss is about to hit a wall.
English

@KyleTuckerCBB Tough to win when you get outrebounded 50-29 and give up 18 offensive rebounds
