During my time at @Microsoft, employees had a small Azure allowance we can use each month to experiment. I created a azure VM that hosted a script I wrote (way before 'vibe coding') that each day at 2am PT, would go to @bing and copy the image of the day to a @onedrive folder.

@GameRoll_ @alejo_fossati Even if it's a placeholder, just use an in engine texture that indicates you need to update the art, or heck, make a doodle in paint; would've taken the same amount of time and at least that wouldn't hurt the planet or steal anyone else's assets

A Redditor has discovered an AI generated artwork in Crimson Desert.
There are other posts that also claim to have found AI generated images throughout the game.
It’s not even a “good” image. Pure slop, just look at the horses legs LMAO. Really disappointing.

My instinct is to say that this is inconceivable, but it is - in fact - the most conceivable thing. Almost a hundred billion dollars down the fucking toilet. People this wrong are defining the future.

@spenc2tuff @skate The post says open to all April 14 to May 5 but the text at the end of the video says open after April 14. So, not quite sure but it will be available for all, at minimum, between those dates. Not sure if they're going to have it change season to season or what

@TheTrueDH @EddCoates Proper development still takes humans and time. It really depends on your definition of tool, there's a huge difference between using a tool in Photoshop like the edge detection vs using AI to (plagiarise) generate "art" for you

@EddCoates If they would use AI as a tool in game development that would be great. Low cost development and actually having more than one game in whatever franchise in a generation would be awesome. However, we all know how it will really be used.
