Market research firms are cooked 😳 PyMC Labs + Colgate just published something wild. They got GPT-4o and Gemini to predict purchase intent at 90% reliability compared to actual human surveys. Zero focus groups. No survey panels. Just prompting. The method is called Semantic Similarity Rating (SSR). Instead of the usual "rate this 1-5" they ask open ended questions like "why would you buy this" and then use embeddings to map the text back to a numerical scale. Which is honestly kind of obvious in hindsight but nobody bothered trying it until now. Results match human demographic patterns, capture the same distribution shapes, include actual reasoning. The stuff McKinsey charges $50K+ for and delivers in 6 weeks. Except this runs in 3 minutes for under a buck. I've been watching consulting firms tell everyone AI is coming for their industry. Turns out their own $1M market entry decks just became a GPT-4o call. Bad week to be charging enterprise clients for "proprietary research methodologies."

I uploaded all the PDFs from a course I signed up a while ago about investing in the UK. With it, I could create: 1. A 18 min audio summarising the content of the course 2. A fabulous mind map with all kinds of investments there is, and the details around them (such as ISAs, pensions, Savings, etc) And the cherry of the cake... 3. A video overview with slides explaining all those concepts together! I've always wanted to turn that course into a deck to share with close friends of mine, so we can all get richhh, and now I did it in 5 minutes. Verdict: 100% would use it in the future. Bonus points: Their featured notebooks are gold!

Day 14 of #100School (yes, I’m a few days behind!). I originally thought this course would be more of a refresher for me but I am amazed at the capabilities of Canvas and Gemini in Google Sheets. I hadn’t built anything in Canvas prior to this and seeing how quickly I could create a dynamic dashboard was pretty cool. Being able to analyze data conversationally within Google Sheets was also eye-opening. Excited to continue the journey!

There's a ton of stuff to track and remember as a working mom with two boys. Various activities, important school dates, household reminders, etc. It's easy to miss or forget things. Last Thursday, I started the 30-day challenge and it already helped me create something that'll help offload some of my mental load each day. I had struggled to create a simple automation about a week ago using a no-code tool. Using two prompts from the challenge helped me refresh and kickstart the idea again, creating a delightful, personalized daily digest outlining my day each morning. It's a voice-first app I created with the help of ChatGPT (idea development), Claude (PRD development), and Replit's Agent 3 (app development). 💯 #100School

Another month, another build. This time I’m creating an app that will allow me to easily extract my kids’ various school calendar events from PDFs and emails, then sync to my Google calendar. I devised my plan using Claude and I’ll be executing with Replit!
