@mmmadcccow I stopped buying chick starter for my laying day old ages ago and have never looked back they eat the pelleted ration just fine and I’ve never had any issues

One of the things I need to do tomorrow is go to the feed store. My adult chickens eat a pelleted ration but I have eggs due to hatch this weekend and need a more appropriate food to feed baby chickens. Apparently I'm counting my chicks before they hatch. 🐣🐣🐣🤔😂😂😂

Turkey hunting in the morning. 80% chance of rain. I'll be hunting as long as it's not lightning and it's not raining cats and dogs. My alarm clock is now set with a time that starts with the number "3" for the first time this year. 🫤😂🦃

@mmmadcccow What’s the reason behind the early season noon closure ? In Ont it’s 7pm for some reason where every other game species is 1/2h after sunset…

1 more day of turkey hunting before I go back to work for a few days. Going to be a late morning hunt because a worker is coming to the house 1st thing in the morning. I'll be glad when hunting hours extend past noon on May 6th. Will make balancing chores and hunting way easier.

@phaedrus_dh Thanks ! A buddy and I doubled on 2/4 Jakes opening morning his first bird Which took the pressure off for a 2nd I was waiting for this Gobbler that I’d seen but hadn’t been able to get in range a little change to the decoy strategy this am and I dropped him strutting @30yards

What a hot mess start to a turkey hunt. I flushed a gobbler off the roost. But another was gobbling on the limb still so I eased into the woods. Hens roosted all around but not spooked. They all convened in the field. Snuck over to a travel corridor. Porta roof up. Waiting.

@mmmadcccow Same thing here in Ontario! I’ll be out from 9ish till 3 when I’ve got to pick up my daughters! I would have gone out for first light if the forecast wasn’t all rain. Looks like it’ll all miss us 😂

Original forecast was rain from 2am to 11am and I was planning a late morning hunt (we can only hunt until noon). Now it is rain 5am to 2pm and the rain is not here yet. I'm just walking up and not prepared for an early hunt. Ugh. Don't trust the forecast.🤦‍♀️

@mmmadcccow @MatthewJMAllen2 So true & just after posting, I thought - my hunter friends will wonder. Should have fessed up at that moment 🙂 I worked at an abattoir last year managing poultry intake. I was lucky & bought a couple of geese from another farmer 😋 Hubby has vetoed my adding geese to the farm🤷‍♀️

Sunday night supper, roast goose, mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes with gravy, plus salad.

@cityofkingston I've been doing my cardboard bundles like this for 20 years and suddenly it's not acceptable? It's easy, requires less packaging and handling, etc., as recycling should be.

Felt slightly out of place with a clattering non def using yellow motor, a metal hood, and no turban or goofy dangly curtain thing hanging in my windshield.. I’m sure the fuel mileage is nice I’m also sure I’ll never care enough to quit driving anything but red oval, yellow motor

@mmmadcccow Are there any swan seasons in your area ? Tons of swans here mostly invasive mutes we often count over 200 in our bay but there's no open season for them in Ont

Today is the first day of early goose season, no birds in the fields I have access too but I'm hearing shots! Happy ppl are getting out ! I might go for a paddle mid day and see if I can find any on the loaf !
