🚨Unpopular opinion
Having a WhatsApp group for work is invasive. That is what emails, teams or slack is for.
I don’t mind work WhatsApp groups for social reasons like planning nights out but when WhatsApp becomes the main mode of work related communication that is invasive!

@missm_science @ShakinthatChalk This is not feasible! Current school 18/25. Last school 14/25. Take your ppa from 9 hours and you’re left with nothing! It’s not ok! Also depends on size of cohort …. Have you got 30 students in your year group 🤣?!

@ShakinthatChalk How many “frees” do any teaching HoYs have? Currrently teach 41/50 lessons and it’s killing me but am told it’s much less than most HoY- thoughts appreciated

I’ve moved from one school without teaching heads of year to a similar school with teaching heads of year.
I cannot tell you enough how much of a difference it makes.

Hey Nick - just an FYI that germs are passed between ppl in enclosed spaces with lots of ppl in them, particularly sick kids, who then pass them onto the adults, who then have to stay off work sick.

Corfu fire update. I’m Barbati, went to bed with smoke and slight orange glow behind the mountain. Woke up and don’t see the smoke clouds like yesterday. Relieved.
