Roblox is shutting down Connect, the feature that let you call your friends right inside a game, on July 15. And look at how players reacted to the news: >"nobody unironically used this" >"didn't even know this existed" >"almost forgot that crap existed" Brutal, but it's the truth. Roblox spent real time and money building a whole calling system, and most people never used it once. Now it gets quietly deleted like it never happened. Lol but the stuff players actually beg for every day still goes nowhere. Roblox doesn't have a feature problem. It has a priorities problem.

@beaniemaxi Game experiences shouldn't have walls. One of the many reasons @BloxApi is the ultimate platform of platforms for gamers and game creators.

This is why you don't spend thousands of dollars on skins in centralized games. Once it becomes clear that there's no path to profit the enterprise naturally shuts down the platform. And there's no decentralized protocol to let others build on top of. So it just all goes to zero.
