Today’s lesson for all the kids out there:
If you happen to be driving a large oil truck carrying in excess of 3000 gallons of home heating oil, please don’t re-create the lane swerving scenes from Fast & Furious in my neighborhood on Long Island, or else this will happen . . .

🚨BRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrr…
This is American engineering.
An A-10 Warthog took over 150 rounds… hydraulics gone… control systems crippled…
Any other aircraft is DONE.
But not this one.
Manual reversion kicks in… pure mechanical control… pilot muscles it home.
Lands safely.
Pilot walks away.
Aircraft repaired… back in the fight.
That’s not luck…
That’s design.
That’s toughness.
That’s AMERICA.
Built to take punishment… and still come home.

Restaurant Steak ’n Shake just refused to join woke companies bashing America, instead launching a new pro-America product:
The $2.50 Patriot Milkshake topped with a Statue of Liberty is in honor of America’s 250th Birthday.
Thank you, @SteaknShake!

🚨DEMOCRAT DA TRYING TO LOCK UP COP FOR PROTECTING HIMSELF AND OTHER OFFICERS
Suffolk County DA Kevin Hayden (D) charged Boston police officer Nicolas O'Malley with Manslaughter after he reportedly fatally shot a carjacking suspect who IGNORED multiple commands while driving a stolen vehicle towards police.
Stephenson King, the suspect, was previously arrested for illegal possession of a firearm.
Why is this cop being charged for doing his job and protecting fellow officers?!?!
DROP THE CHARGES @SCDAONews

Don’t feel so important, Governor.
If California ceased all carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions today, it would reduce the projected global average surface temperature by 0.01°C by 2100 (this, of course, takes climate modeling at face value). That is, a hundredth of a degree, which might as well be a rounding error.
Sure, you could reasonably counter argue that it is a “global effort” to decarbonize, so the little bits add up (which is fair), but ultimately, CO₂ emissions in California will continue to fall regardless of the policies you choose (mostly because EVs are becoming cheaper and rooftop solar is increasingly marketable, especially in sunnier climates like SoCal).
The transition to a low-carbon economy might take time, but it is probably inevitable in the long-run just because of technological advances.
But the reality is that California’s high gas tax, Cap-and-Trade program, and Low Carbon Fuel Standard have made energy and overall cost of living very expensive for residents, all the while have done very little to negate climate change.
While you didn’t sign those bills into law, you have done nothing to reduce the cost of living and make things more affordable for your constituents. Electric bills keep going up for residents, even though “cheaper” utility-scale solar is added to the grid.
Something needs to change with energy policy in your state.

Governor Gavin Newsom@CAgovernor
California is beating its own climate goals ahead of schedule: ✅ Two-thirds of the state grid powered by clean energy ✅ More than 2.5M electric vehicles ✅ 201K public chargers (more than gas nozzles) ✅ 17,000 MW of battery storage (2nd only to China) The cynics said it couldn't be done.

All of this, just caused by a dipsh!t who couldn’t help but drive like a dipsh!t, just after 12 noon today.
So again, the lesson from these events should be to drive safely everyone, because your quick decision to act like an idiot, can have huge ramifications.
Aside from the hours of gridlock all afternoon, on our local roads since that area had to be shut down for toxic containment, the local details that we’re hearing now are that the oil company initially lost about $18,000 worth of oil, just based upon the price of what was spilled out of the tanker truck.
However, much more significantly, that oil company is now likely facing over $1 million in fines, NYSDEC (New York State Department of Environmental Conservation) penalties and the enormous cleanup costs regarding today’s toxic oil spill.
The most frustrating part is how completely unnecessary all of this was:
Just drive better.

And next the Nassau County Fire Marshall’s Office — Hazardous Materials Division, will have to set up camp after dark, with tons of heavy equipment, drones, and a large staff, to work on this clean up and pumping operation overnight and for at least the next 24 hours, if not longer . . .

This post from Maze @mazemoore is CRUCIAL that everyone watches:
REPOST this absolutely everywhere. Here it is in it's entirety:
"Gavin Newsom was recently on a podcast trying to explain his conflicting accounts of his abilities to read and write. It was a disaster.
These clips are only two minutes apart. Newsom says that he never brings notes to a podcast and then two minutes later shows the notebook he brought to that podcast. It had talking points such as 'Epstein' written on it."
REPOST!

It’s now been three years since Gavin Newsom announced he was spending $750 million taxpayer dollars on 1,200 tiny homes for the homeless.
“And so what we are doing is we're deploying these 1,200-plus units. You can see these units are not just in every case for one individual, multiple individuals in these units. We're hoping to get them constructed within a matter of months and not years. I wanted to say the summer, but my staff said the press will attack us if we fall short, so they're saying the fall." - Gavin Newsom, March 2023
I hope you’re sitting down, but Gavin Newsom hasn’t delivered on a single tiny home.
But I’m sure taxpayers got their $750 million back, right?
