🐶 Viliame Kikau | 2RF | $650.3k Spare a thought for Jermaine McEwen this week. I doubt he’s sleeping very well knowing what’s coming on Saturday afternoon. Coming off that unpleasant trip to Canberra in the rain last Thursday night, it looks like Kikau gets conditions to suit this week, and that usually means trouble for whoever is defending him. In this case, Newcastle’s highly active/rarely effective defensive right edge. Vili is averaging 72 in base + power so far this season. But what has caught my eye most is it’s pretty much a non-ball playing 5/8 in Burton swinging the ball to Kikau early at every opportunity, allowing him time and space to use footwork and inevitably beat the first defender whilst looking for opportunities to offload. That’s gold in SuperCoach. If he learns to pass, he’ll get try assists with Critta and Kiraz outside him. If he doesn’t, well he’ll just bulldoze people and pull the offload. Win-win. As I touched on with BP, albeit a small sample, his work-rate is up on previous years. He’s already produced two games this year that match some of his best work rate efforts in previous seasons, so the base is there even before the attacking stats. At 3% ownership, he shapes as a really nice early calculated point of difference if you’re looking to move at 2RF and can’t quite get up to Hudson Young. They’ve also got a good run coming up, Panthers aside, and no bye until Round 15, which makes him a genuine set and forget option for a long stretch. A welcome addition in the current environment of endless suspensions/injuries. Could be a nice little stack with Crichton to cover your Dogs fixtures and give you some excitement every time they go left. #NRLSuperCoach #NRLBulldogsKnights

My big takeaways from last night: - Fa’alogo is unfortunately a must have for cash generation, let alone scoring potential. Easy ticket to a proven gun (or hold?) - I’m holding Atkinson over Sanders. With his draw softening, he’ll be a faster elevator ride to a premium HFB than Sanders. - Grant’s attacking stats are so consistent, they need to be viewed similarly to his B+P. It’s a matter of when, not if, he gets them. - Glad I get another week to watch Tigers assets before price changes. Keen to see who can do that consistently. Eyes on KPP, Fainu, & Doueihi. #NRLSuperCoach #NRL
