It's also why I mentioned throws not tracking early, because that helps forms the much more rigid "triangles" of the other 3d fighters.

Tekken is (traditionally) the only mainstream fighting game that doesn't play into an arbitrary triangle system, and much more closely resembles real world combat strategy. Like, actual strategy that's been studied for millennia, not the vibes-based video game kind

Sorry, but the explanation isn’t it. High level tekken and high level vf share the same quality. RPS is still heavily applied in both, block beats strikes, throw beats block, strikes beat throws (pre T8). The true difference is the amount of time allocated to make such decisions.

Tekken 8's design philosophy is to have more forced up-close interactions and to make decisions more high commitment. It's very odd that VF players will see Tekken players complaining about this and think that VF is the thing they're looking for.

Virtua Fighter has always had better movement. The real reason that Tekken players won’t dedicate themselves to vf is because vf punishes the movement that Tekken is based from. For example KBD would get punished just by a neutral mid kick for big stagger guaranteed damage.
