@WadePlem Boxing is different, only the main card and 1 celibrity boxer gets paid, rest gets pocket change. UFC pays decent pay to all it's fighters, with the opportunity for win bonus, FOTN $100k or KO $100k bonus. All the fighters get paid far far more than boxers.

Normally I would have said Jon should take the 15 mill, White House, massive fight etc.. But Conor Benn just got paid 15 mill for Regis Prograis

What company in the world is going to give a 38 yr old Jones, with arthritis who just vacated the HW title because he didn’t want to face Aspinall, more than $15 mil to fight on a card that has zero gate and the company is already planning to take a loss on revenue wise? Especially when if JJ wins he probably vacates the interim title and never unifies it. Then you gave Benn who competes in boxing, where pay for big names is typically larger already, and Turki is trying to take market share. Not to mention Benn is the only one signed to that large of a deal and if he’s the title holder will defend his belt and create more future money fights. What future money does Jones create for the UFC?

So out of curiosity, I ran some numbers. Used Benn’s $15 mil as the baseline and compared: 📊 Social (2M vs 10M) 🏆 World titles (0 vs 3) 🛡️ Defenses (0 vs 12) 🥊 Champs beaten (0 vs 9) 📺 Event scale Jones clears across the board. The multipliers in the graphic are not meant to stack. They show how much he leads in each category. I blended them with weighting and applied risk-adjusted discounts, such as Jones history, recent inactivity, etc. That still lands Jones somewhere around 1.7x to 3.3x Benn’s contract. 💰 Roughly $25 mil to $50 mil And yes, I understand that Zuffa Boxing is very new and they may have to overpay early. I also understand Turki Alalshikh and SELA are funding Benn’s purse, not TKO directly. But either way, Benn is still being valued at $15 mil as a Zuffa Boxng signed fighter. And it’s not like he is even headlining a Zuffa Boxing card. He is co main on a card presented by The Ring, headlined by Tyson Fury, and on Netflix. Meanwhile, the consensus GOAT, and Dana White’s GOAT, is headlining a ‘once in a lifetime’ White House event for the same number. Doesn’t quite add up and definitely not a great look for how UFC fighters are being valued.
