As the keynotes wrap and the show floor fills, the vibe at NetApp’s annual sales gathering reflects an ecosystem ready to absorb all the announcements made today.
To learn more about the impact of NetApp’s ecosystem, we sit down with the president of NetApp’s public sector department, Michelle Rudnicki.
“The U.S. federal government was one of our first customers, they’ve been with us a long time. The features they loved about NetApp over the years… back in 2002 when we started with unified storage and simplifying our protocols, that was really good to them,” Rudnicki explains.
While data management has become more complex since then, NetApp’s innovations have evolved the 2002 offering into the intelligent data infrastructure offerings announced today, according to Rudnicki.
With an increase of throughput up to 40 million IOPS, NetApp claims a 2x boost on its AFF A-Series systems. These enhancements will allow NetApp’s public sector customers to “do a lot more for up to 55% less,” Rudnicki concludes.
