@potatoslav What I appreciate about my very walkable neighbourhood is that I can choose whether I wanna take a short walk and buy just a couple of things or if I wanna go there by car to buy in bulk

everyone talking past each other. i grew up in the suburbs and learned to shop in bulk once a week. people that grew up in cities learned to shop piecemeal. i learned to plan a week of meals at a time, so i make all the decisions at once. switching to the walkable city method of shopping daily adds daily decisions and makes cooking a bit more difficult bc my pantry isn’t stocked as fully as it would be if i was shopping in bulk with a car. what we grew up with is going to seem easier to us. also shopping for a single person vs. a family with small children is very different. it can take me an hour just to get out of the house with my toddler. and this now limits how much i can carry home bc i am wrangling said toddler. no one is wrong, people just live different lives.

@Sundancing_ Foe my part I can confirm this. I was 18 when MC was in alpha and it was never eerie to me or my friends. Sure, the nights were pure survival and when the Nether was introduced it felt like a horror game because Ghasts were constantly screaming in your ears at full volume lol
