Against England: He batted at number 8, smashing 48 not out. The Semi-Final vs Australia: He batted at number 8, scoring 31 not out off 16 balls before the tragic run-out. He started as a bowling all-rounder, taking 8 wickets on his Test debut. But his batting became too explosive to ignore.

Nah, not exactly the same designer for every team, but close! All the 1999 Cricket World Cup kits were supplied by ASICS (they designed and manufactured most of them for the tournament organizers). They used a similar oversized template/base design across teams that's why the cuts and fitting looks same.

@NonPlyingChar The jerseys were based on the logos of the respective cricket boards at that time. These were the days of same kit manufacturer for all the teams in the tournament. Great concept.

@NonPlyingChar Apart from Pakistan, I liked Zimbabwe and South Africa jerseys..Zimbabwe were the surprise package of the tournament and South Africa is remembered for some of the best cricketing memories in this worldcup.. Thats why I still remember their jerseys

@NonPlyingChar All Semi Finalists had the best outfits. Pakistan on the Top Followed by South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. Indian outfit adopted lately which is of darker colour is more attractive and so is English.
