I mean, the tech bros literally illegally scraped everyone's data on the internet, and they're gonna use it to automate everyone's job. I'm sorry, but they have literally zero moral high ground to stand on, nor should they be dictating the social policies of the next era. It is the height of naivety to 1) accept this 2) allow them to build superintelligence in the first place if it has a non trivial chance of killing everyone 3) allow them to enact techno communism? Who the fuck actually wants this? They are destroying the livelihoods of billions of people and the best they can come up with is 'sorry bro maybe the government will hand you some worthless fiat currency'. The silicone valley bros live in an enormous bubble. People have no idea how unbelievably chaotic the next five years are going to be. It is my very strong belief that people are not going to go quietly into this good night. They will rage very hard against it.

To give you an idea of how bad the AI bot problem was getting I muted about 17,500 of them, then started blocking them recently, so another 3,000 99% bots So I blocked about 2.5% of my follower count and didn't even get close to stop AI replies either

near zero cost is a fallacy, we are still constrained by phyisical laws like moores, there is a resistance band for cost elasticity. there is for sure a short term deflationary pressure but the most inovative and leading industry products & services will have human input therefore labour value attached to it.

your gentle reminder… there are like zero economists or ppl in general who know how to reason about what happens when near zero cost >human level intelligence gets woven into the fabric of the economy at scale this fast. this scenario has never remotely been in the possibility space of econ textbooks or any theory. when cognition starts behaving like a commodity & the environment turns structurally deflationary no one actually knows what happens. kinda like no “expert” really understood a novel virus like covid.
