After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today.
I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.
It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC.

The heartburn over Russian oil being sold at a premium is so stupid. Russians were selling oil at a discount not because they loved India or were smitten by us. They sold it because we were one of the few willing to buy and they needed to sweeten the deal to make it worthwhile for us. But the same oil would not, repeat would not, be sold today at a discount simply because Russian oil is no longer sanctioned and given supply breakdowns, it enjoys a premium. This is pure and simple market dynamics and economics and also the cold reality of international relations. Emotional idiots who love grandstanding and pontificating wanting to make “our voice heard” (as if anyone cares for it and as if it moves and shakes the world) and all the moralistic bullshit we want to sell to the world but consume by ourselves has no place in the world as it exists. Russians will sell us oil today at a premium because that’s the price and because we have refineries that can process/refine that oil.

इस बयान का यही मतलब है कि भारत को गैस और तेल ले जाने की अनुमति मिलेगी लेकिन दुनिया के नेताओं को अमरीका से जाकर कहना चाहिए कि इस युद्ध को रोकें। इस्राईल से भी कहना चाहिए कि यह युद्ध रोका जाए। यह युद्ध ईरान ने नहीं थोपा है। तब जाकर शायद तेल और गैस की सप्लाई की इजाज़त मिलेगी। लेकिन ट्रंप से कौन कहेगा? क्योंकि कहना विदेश नीति का हिस्सा तो है नहीं। ट्रंप को कहने का मतलब है इस युद्ध के ख़िलाफ़ स्टैंड लेना। जब पहले नहीं लिया तो क्या भारत ईरान के कहने पर लेगा? भारत अपना हित देखता है। सिलेंडर और तेल नहीं।
