Sooooooooooooo.... how does Oregon tie in? We're an expensive state. Expensive gas, we pass through lots of taxes in our products, hotel rooms, dining experiences, etc. Why come to expensive homeless and drugged up Oregon when you have to stretch your CAD to USD plus inflation? The answer is, you don't, if you're going anywhere, you go where your money goes farther, better weather, and there's more fun stuff to do. Florida, they're up 4% in international travel since 2024 and almost back to pre-pandemic levels of visitors.

Not every state, but for us in Oregon there's reduced Canadian travel who we heavily rely on as our "stat" of international visitors they'll tell you that it's some of the political rhetoric, but where it really hurts Canadians to travel is the stronger dollar which affects Canadians wallets in being able to come here and have any fun. Roughly 1 CAD = 0.717–0.72 USD Seems that you're unaware that right now the Canadian economy is rather sluggish and underperforming as well. Their unemployment is around 6.5 to 6.7%. Weird. Wanna talk about inflation and when the bulk of that occurred as well? 😃

Tourism is down in PDX and the state because Oregon has gained the reputation of a joke. Our homeless wander the city like zombies, going to the bathroom in the streets and shooting up drugs in broad daylight while everyone gets to stare at tent cities and trash all over the place while non profits suck up more and more of our tax dollars but help no one better their situation. 😃 Don't watch foxnews, but nice attempt at a poor argument/deflection. @Oregonian Blame Portland and Oregon's failure to attract tourists on Trump, when everyone knows that the problem is home grown. It's the policies, stupid. Recriminalize drug use, possession and homelessness. Clean up the streets. Repeal sanctuary status of cities and state.
