@BowesChay @Revolut @NStoronsky they closed mine as well and banned me permanently from using their service, froze my funds (150k) for several months and gives nothing but generic responses

So @Revolut just closed my account. No reason, no discussion. I owed them nothing, never did, and had money in the account. I'm an EU citizen This is the "Free Europe" they are telling us we live in? This is coming for anyone daring to stand up and speak out @NStoronsky?

@eastdakota @levelsio the worst thing with these attacks is that it causes your server to be blacklisted by lots of big abuse databases, some of them tied even to playstation/xbox servers - so your vpn gets banned.

@levelsio Probably a reflection attack. Your IP spoofed in Port 22 queries to other services which echo back a larger response. Been a lot of these going around lately.

I keep getting abuse reports on Hetzner about portscans on port 22 outbound But I have port 22 outbound blocked in Hetzner's firewall and yes it's enabled etc. I'm starting to think their abuse reports are some kind of abuse itself?

I just created an API key for @Cloudflare with all access and gave it to Claude Code. He made me an insane script to avoid the next DDoS. I am practically un-DDoSable now, good luck.

@OctolusNET i literally worked on for google cloud run for several years but the price seemed believable because it's comparable to some low-end VPS prices

cloudflare advertised their hosted moltworker as $5/mo in their repo. so I left it running for a month, and got $81 monthly bill, because apparently they bill for execution time.

@michalraczka @tristanbob @Cloudflare Works great, however missing KV/D1 etc from the workers overview. i usually bind them per worker, and they are usually what drives up the cost of a worker for my usage at least

I'm having fun building on @Cloudflare and using the very generous FREE tier. However, I recently needed more, so I upgraded to the $5/month pay-as-you-go plan and discovered some significant risks: 1) There is no way to set a hard budget limit 2) There is not even an easy way set up a notification fo based on dollars spent The only option we get is to set triggers PER service based on service UNITS, not dollars. How do you deal with this? I feel like I'm one DDoS away from going bankrupt.

lowkey I really want to love open source alternatives and hope believe that Cursor will find a worthy competitor because newsflash: COMPETITION IS GOOD FOR CONSUMERS but every time I try... Zed, Desktop OpenCode or similar I quickly realize that unless you're trying to save money nothing has gotten close to it yet

@yougotvansh @dodopayments @buildwithshyam At one point I processed over 10k a day with Stripe and not once have i been pushed to do that. My accountants export the files and with one click import it into their e-accounting software. They advertise the tax, but it's not a requirement.

Stripe’s headline pricing is 2.9% + 30¢, yes but that’s only part of the story. Once you start collecting meaningful volume from a country, you’re required to register and file taxes in that jurisdiction yourself. At that point, Stripe will push you towards their managed / tax solutions, and your effective cost jumps to around 7–8% all-in. That’s actually higher than what most merchants pay with a proper Merchant of Record.

Appreciate the shoutout everyone 🤝 If you’re building a SaaS (especially from India selling globally), the “best” gateway usually depends on: • Global billing + tax compliance • Fast onboarding • Reliable payouts • Responsive support • Clean dev experience We built Dodo Payments to handle billing, taxes, and compliance in one stack - so founders can focus on product, not paperwork. Happy to help anyone evaluating options.

Even with major security upgrades to OpenClaw, you can’t ignore the risk of misconfigured “1-click deploy” platforms. SimpleClaw.com is one — a Longhorn flaw lets attackers access other users’ files/chats. Details: blog.octosec.io/openclaw-explo…
