@OfficialBCGames Congrats! I am high school dropout (8 years only), and my hobby was coding. When I moved to London, without money, no degree, no language, I managed to get a developers job in a year. And it was an amazing journey after!

@OfficialBCGames Congratulations! Yep, similar story. Had been programming Commodore Vic-20, 64, Amiga etc. for a decade, then Visual Basic for a couple of years. All part time, all personal projects. Then fell into a programming job. That was 22 years ago :-) Living the dream! :-D

@OfficialBCGames The myth that one needs a degree to be useful and therefore be hired has to go away. One needs to be passionate about and competent in the crafty one wants to engage in. Neither of these characteristics can be read in a piece of paper.

@OfficialBCGames Many congrats to you. I applied for my first proper programming job about 6 months ago (having trained as a musician and learned programming on the side) and whilst I didn’t get it, I did at least get a first stage interview, so I daresay there’s still hope.

@OfficialBCGames ep, that's cool Congrats! I am making an RPG-MMO but like you said who knows where i'll end up. I got a job offer from Meta the other day. But nah. Had to inform them I'm building my own meta-verse. :)

@OfficialBCGames I’m ON a similar journey lol. I do indie dev on my own time, but I have a full time job in QA to gain experience and opportunities to find a job in programming. All while growing my skillset.

@OfficialBCGames Congrats! I started my dev journey learning to code with Unity 5 years ago, am now full time software dev and still working on my own projects on the side. It’s a pretty solid journey!
