@FixTheWorldOrg There's so much to absorb that it took me a few times before it all really sank in, when it did though, my pessimistic view of the world flipped to one of being positive and optimistic about our future. I particularly like the explanation of our innocent, co operative past.

FIX THE WORLD (was World Transformation Movement)
"I am stunned & honored to have lived to see the coming of ‘Darwin II’. I say this because after Darwin’s theory of Natural Selection explained the variety of life, Jeremy Griffith has gone on to solve the other four main questions science had to answer about our world and place in it. They are: 1) the dilemma of the human condition, which his instinct vs intellect explanation in chapter 3 of his main, seminal book FREEDOM finally solves; 2) how we humans became fully conscious when other species haven’t, which he answers in chapter 7; 3) the origins of humans’ unique moral nature, which he answers in chapter 5, which it turns out American philosopher John Fiske had already explained in 1874 but mechanistic science had ignored; and 4) the truth of the Integrative Meaning of existence (which we have personified as ‘God’), in chapter 4, which only a rare few thinkers in history have been able to recognize. A most phenomenal scientific achievement!” – A statement by Professor Stuart Hurlbert, Emeritus Professor of biology at San Diego State University, speaks to Jeremy Griffith's scientific breakthrough reddit.com/r/JeremyGriffi…

Depression, anxiety, burnout, personality disorders, and a host of other psychological conditions affect hundreds of millions worldwide. Therapists, researchers, and individuals alike continue to describe this same breakdown as an almost infinite variety of struggles: genetic predispositions, childhood trauma, cultural expectations, social media pressures, interpersonal conflicts, and deeply personal life circumstances. Each story feels unique. Each pathology seems distinct. Yet what if, beneath all this variety, there is a single underlying cause? Australian biologist Jeremy Griffith argues precisely that in his major treatise FREEDOM: The End Of The Human Condition, the foundational text of the Fix The World movement. His work, which has drawn praise from psychiatrists, psychologists, anthropologists, and other thought leaders, posits that the root of humanity’s psychological distress is not fragmented or endlessly varied; but universal. In doing so, it offers genuine pathway toward fixing the world. It is the “human condition” itself: the deeply insecure, angry, egocentric, and alienated state that has afflicted every human since the emergence of conscious thought... #FlashBackFriday FIX THE WORLD Kimberley (South Africa) Centre with calming and kind Alfred Khaziwa “I truly believe that this is the information that we have all been waiting for as human beings, because it answers all our questions that we had about life, about who we are and our purpose, and questions to do with relationships, politics, religion, and so many more. And it also clearly tells us what we need to do to live in a transformed way, to live a meaningful and an integrative life. I have no doubt that this will transform everyone that really immerses themselves into this information.” - Alfred Khaziwa youtu.be/P6O1NXzKy54 𝐍𝐨𝐰 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝟖𝟎 𝐅𝐈𝐗 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐃 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝟑𝟎 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 to promote the life-changing and world-transforming explanation of the human condition put forward by Australian biologist Jeremy Griffith.

Conflict, division, social breakdown and environmental destruction are not separate, isolated problems - they are symptoms of a deeper psychological issue in our species that has never before been explained. I remain steadfast in my support of Ben Roberts-Smith despite news of his arrest today. Ben, his immediate and broader defence family need the Australian people’s support right now and I will not abandon him like so many other politicians. Ben was disgracefully arrested in front of his twin 15 year old girls. He will be held in jail for 7 days. He gets just one bail application. If that application fails, they can hold him for 2 years. AFP and OSI have spent $300 million dollars over 10 years to get to this point.

Our unhinged behaviour on social media is becoming increasingly concerning. Our innocence, generosity, and trust are depleting at an accelerated rate. The anger, selfishness and alienation stemming from the human condition is being amplified. To become sound managers of this powerful and truly unlock the positive potential of social media, we need to address THE issue that’s driving that feeding frenzy of distraction and reinforcement. These topics were discussed in my recent conversation with education expert @cheryllaceydsj on her weekly radio show, ‘Leading Education’. Please take a moment to listen, and let me know your thoughts. A timeline of the interview Our 14 minute conversation explores the following topics: 0:00 – @drtahmed (Tanveer Ahmed), in the previous interview, discussed the profound changes to society associated with the emergence of social media, including the mental health consequences that we are seeing now. 0:30 – Social media is a force for good and bad. It’s a tool for us to connect, seek knowledge and improve the human condition. 1:00 – In the context of the work of Australian biologist Jeremy Griffith, social media is accelerating the contradictory nature of our human condition 1:15 – Social media is a powerful tool to connect and improve the human situation but while we suffer from the human condition, but we’re not sound managers of its potential. 1:30 – The need for critical thinking and looking after our mental health, and yet this is often absent on social media, and there are expressions of anger and bias. 2:30 – We’ve got this moral capacity, one of trust, honesty, fairness, our humanity. On social media, we are more disconnected from this moral dimension than in face-to-face interactions. 3:00 – The defining aspects of the human condition are anger, selfishness and alienation, and online these aspects are often greatly exacerbated, and are not moderated by this strong moral dimension of ourselves. 3:30 – Online, we can become disconnected from this moral dimension, and our behaviour is unhinged. 4:00 – Our reaction when we don’t get the response we want or anticipate, or it’s ignored and misunderstood, and the frustration and taking that out on others online. 4:30 – We could define the human condition as self-hate, inner guilt and shame, and insecurity about our fundamental worth. 5:00 – This is the pain of the human condition that we seek to relieve and compensate for by projecting that pain outwards and being hateful of others which is exacerbated on social media. 5:30 – Implementing the life advice that ‘It’s none of my business what anybody thinks of me’ to insulate ourselves from hatred. 6:00 – Living with the issue of the human condition, an underlying insecurity about our worth and an explanation of that in terms of our biology and our psychology. 6:30 – We are unaware of our underlying insecurity, bias and fragility due to the human condition. We don’t connect our thoughts and behaviour to what actually motivates them. 7:00 – We think we are objective, but in reality an issue encroaches on that underlying insecurity; it deeply colours our perspective and interactions. 8:00 – Advice to people who are feeling ‘unhinged’ in using social media. 8:30 – At the overview level, social media is an amazing tool in terms of interconnectedness and an alternative source of information, knowledge and insight. 9:00 – While humans suffer from the human condition, we haven’t been sound managers of that, and so all the excesses of the human condition have just been supercharged. 9:30 – 20 and 50 years ago, the escalation, impact and spread of the psychologically upset state of the human condition was relatively more moderated and on a slower burn. 10:00 – Now the degradation of our innocence, our freshness, our generosity, our trust is being depleted at a much more accelerated rate. 10:30 – Taking time from social media, taking time to process and the merits of writing letters. 11:00 – Slowing down and contemplation have tremendous merit, but there is an inherent psychological relief in distraction and the acceleration of everything. 11:30 – Our attention spans are shrinking, we don’t want to do deeper thinking because it brings the underlying issue of the human condition into focus, the guilt and shame. 12:00 – Ultimately, what we need to do is bring explanation to this issue of the human condition that’s driving that feeding frenzy of distraction and reinforcement.
