Not long ago, Narendra Modi mocked Bengalis as "Mughals" for eating fish. BJP leaders branded Bengalis "Rohingyas" for their food habits.
And now? The same BJP has to dispatch leaders like Anurag "goli maro" Thakur to Bengal to eat fish in front of cameras, as a token gesture.
This is the power of Bengal. It is the BJP that has undergone a Poriborton, not by choice, but compelled by the democratic might of 10 crore people.

আজ ভবানীপুর বিধানসভায় নির্বাচনী প্রচারে জনসংযোগ ও পথসভায় অংশগ্রহণ করলাম। বাড়ি বাড়ি গিয়ে সাধারণ মানুষের সঙ্গে কথা বলার সুযোগ পেলাম। তাঁদের মতামত থেকে স্পষ্ট এই দুর্নীতিগ্রস্ত সরকারকে আর কেউ চাইছেন না।
নির্বাচনী পথসভায় সাধারণ মানুষের স্বতঃস্ফূর্ত উপস্থিতি ও সমর্থন আমার দুর্নীতির বিরুদ্ধে রাজনৈতিক লড়াইকে আরও শক্তি ও অনুপ্রেরণা জোগালো।
আগামী ২৯ এপ্রিল, ভবানীপুর বিধানসভায় ১ নং বোতাম টিপে পদ্মফুল চিহ্নে বিজেপিকে ভোট দিয়ে অপশাসন থেকে পশ্চিমবঙ্গকে মুক্ত করার আহ্বান জানাই।
আমি দৃঢ়ভাবে বিশ্বাস করি, ভবানীপুরের গণদেবতা আমাকে আগামী পাঁচ বছর তাঁদের সেবায় নিয়োজিত থাকার সুযোগ দেবেন।
