@PDropoff Destiny 1 and 2 will continue to be playable. Ending live service and going away are different things.

Don’t shit on Marathon just because Destiny is ending. Support Bungie instead — it’s our best shot at getting Destiny 3. You don’t need to play Marathon. But raging on a game you haven’t even tried only buries Destiny 3 deeper.

It’s crazy I never once said “support marathon” and you are all blindly assuming that’s what I said. I even said don’t play marathon 🤷🏻‍♂️ the toxic side of the D2 community is they hate being wrong.

@CoreBri This isn’t me being emotional. Why would I spend money on something I know that I don’t want? I wouldn’t. This blind “just play Marathon “ needs to stop. If I was interested, I would play. I’m not so I won’t. It’s not “Hate” to know you don’t like something.

@CoreBri I’m not mad at Marathon. But here is the reality - it’s not for me. Or for 95% of players. I get some Destiny people are upset and abusing Marathon. Most haven’t - I we can watch a video and see the aesthetics and go “nope - not for me.” I support products, not companies.

@LoadnvstheGLXY @falloutplays Still not for me. I don’t want a wipe. That’s a turn off to me. I didn’t ask for a sweaty PvP extraction shooter. I’ve been asking for D3 because D2 has been cooked since 2020. I’m not going to invest in something that doesn’t interest me. Plain and simple.

@PDropoff @falloutplays I get that to an extent. But now they are adding pve modes catered toward you. And does arc have different game modes? Or tarkov? I’m not familiar with those titles. Like I love rpgs but I know crimson dessert is not an rpg for me due to scale of the world and lack of narrative.

@LoadnvstheGLXY @falloutplays And that’s the cost of doing business. They made the decision to quit supporting a long term IP and go with the new one. I think they’ve slit their own throat but they have been stepping in it for years. They made a terrible decision and then double down.

@PDropoff @falloutplays So when Bungie doesn’t get let go this time by Sony and they get shutdown completely. People will be even more sad. Because it’s then a 0% a new destiny comes out.

I've seen (& signed) the petition going around. But I think the much more powerful response if you're hoping for some kind of future for the franchise is: Log on the week of June 9th. Dont' get me wrong, Sony execs aren't gonna fall to their knees in tears and insta-green-light D3 or anything. But seeing SO many players out there logging on to give one last hurrah to the franchise that meant so much to them - it'll speak volumes in its own way. At the very least, we'll have one more window of fun enjoying the last batch of new content in a game that meant so much to us. At best, it'll show how passionate the community still is, and just how badly so many of us want SOME kind of future for this franchise, no matter how long it might take to build. I'll see you out there in June. It's gonna be one hell of a ride.

@LoadnvstheGLXY @falloutplays I can only speak for myself. I will continue to root from Marathon. But facts are facts. It didn’t launch well. It’s not doing well and it’s not going to reach numbers that Sony is looking for.

@PDropoff @falloutplays I love destiny and marathon. Have over 2k hours in destiny and 200+ in marathon and got the platinum in both. But over the last few days from content creators and fans they seem bitter. But don’t want to support the new game of a studio they love. Because they can’t keep loot?
