@Chrangus_ Valid point. But here is the kicker. They made a game that doesn’t interest destiny players. It’s the wrong genre. As such destiny payers won’t pour their money into it. Bungee have made the biggest mistake ever.

Judging by the comments, I see that I didn't express myself clearly here. Marathon's success doesn't guarantee D3, but in my view, it is the only way Bungie will survive—and even have a chance to develop D3 at all.

@Chrangus_ I don’t agree. If we make it successful why would they look at D3?

Mich fasziniert momentan Where Winds Meet, ebenfalls Koop. So Abenteuer eben aber kein reines PvP

@Chrangus_ :: My Opinion :: They shouldn’t have made Marathon. It’s beautifully made, and plays extremely well — don’t get me wrong. But; they bet on the wrong horse. That same level of effort & talent should’ve gone into either Destiny 3, or a complete overhaul to Destiny 2’s foundation.

@CetaceanHappy No, sorry. That is not what i wanted to say. Of course marathons success doesent guarantee anything. But its safe to say bungie dies if they dont deliver. No other Studio can make a Destiny Game with the same gunplay like bungie. But time will tell :)

@Chrangus_ I guess so. I disagree with your assessment. If Marathon does well I have no confidence that they would make a Destiny 3. Management had expressed that they hate working on Destiny. Sony does own the Destiny IP. If Marathon dies I could see them giving it to another studio.

@Chrangus_ @iZurgg Sony can close the studio and give destiny to one of their first party studios, who can then hire people who will actually make a game that people want to play, vs an activist art project disgusied as a game. Insomniac, Naughty Dog, etc. they could make a good game.

@Oofmeister12 Regarding the PvE changes that have already been announced, my hope is that they have recognized this as well and are now restructuring Marathon so that PvE players—or veteran Destiny players—will find it more enjoyable.

@Chrangus_ The issue is that a majority of the Destiny playerbase is PvE focused. Marathon at the moment is not a good option for those players, and really it shouldn't be, since it's always been planned to be a PvP game.

@Chrangus_ Good. I hope another studio buys the Destiny IP, they can do better with it. Destiny drove it's player base away with bad patches and ignoring community feedback for YEARS.

@ace_v3 The journey of D2 it's problems and the support is much more complex than this. It wasnt the blind support that lead to this situation. It was missmanagement from Bungie over the years. Wrong Persons in the wrong positions

@Chrangus_ (Revised post) That would be cope. Thousands of ppl supported D2 and look where that got it. Blindly supporting a game (to which a % of ppl already aren't/wouldn't be interested in) in hope that Sony/Bungie will make a follow up to D2 isn't realistic.

@Fernandorjjj That's fair. Of course, Marathon has to prove itself, and one shouldn't support it blindly. All i wanted to say, if we want D3 , we better hope that Marathon do better, get it's own community, so Bungie have enough time to make D3
