They always ignore the HISTORY part. White people had whites only schools, restaurants, neighborhoods, water fountains, hospitals, country clubs, colleges, beaches, and entire systems built to exclude Black people for generations…backed by laws, violence, and discrimination. Black people creating safe spaces for ourselves after centuries of being excluded is not the same thing as segregation. One was about oppression and denying people humanity. The other is about community, culture, and being around people who share similar experiences. Y’all can’t spend hundreds of years excluding Black people from everything, then suddenly act confused or offended when Black people create spaces for themselves. Those are not equal comparisons at all.

My students will not be doing any Easter related tasks this year. Chicken eggs are literally baby chickens you monsters are using as a prompt for a fake day. Egg shaped chocolate is just as bad as it teaches kids killing animals is okay. I'm teaching then while they're young.
