@metzgov Was just listening to Ezra Klein discussing how Trump built his coalition around diagonalism, picking up key ideas (MAHA, Elon, etc.). Anti-Online Gambling, anti-crypto, and anti-AI feel like massive opportunities for a presidential movement to gain support around.

@shakenjak3 Houseguest would create an alliance made up of 1 person from each pairing. Prioritizing the vets. This insulates the vets and ensures the early boots are all newbies since a newbie cant force a vet to go home.

@thejoerae @SpencerAlthouse Jeremy just hasn't been given much material. Like....if you want him on Dropout for a couple minutes, you instantly get why he's there, but SNL tends to slow walk the first years who get 1 or 2 signature moments max throughout the entire season.

wow Jeremy Culhane is so freaking good as Tucker Carlson on SNL omg lol "Hamnet. Because we're not allowed to say Hamlet anymore. They took the L and gave it to the GBTQ. What are we doing? Hamnet, a movie about a boy who shows interest in theater and dies...I actually really like that part."

@ColeSandick AOC has tons of name recognition but underdeveloped political skill. She gets on tv, but doesn’t coalition build and doesn’t get legislation through.

AOC is the most slept on politician in America, every ideological faction is massively underestimating her skillfulness and popularity. She’s become a national politician with presidential viability as a 30 year old Latina socialist and the response has been a collective shrug.

"90% of code is AI-written. More than 90% of devs use AI coding tools." So who exactly are we still trying to convince to switch? And why are we still trying to convince them? If those numbers are real, the holdouts are either unemployed, in a niche where it genuinely doesn't apply, or... the stats are wildly overstated. Pick one.

AI writing has so many tells. Once you see it, it's fairly easy to identify (and exhausting to see everywhere). If you don't know how to spot it, please read: litmagnews.substack.com/p/q-what-is-ai…

@rhae_nys The thing that feels most missing is the long history and friendship between the forsaken and blood elves. There's such deep ties and yet the forsaken dont really appear.

The Amani world building added so much longing for Horde only plots/lore that it feels crushing. I’m genuinely not enjoying Midnight bc wdym I’m in one of the HORDE capitals and there’s NO HORDE HERE? Finding it really hard to be kind to WoW devs bc wtf is this writing??

@Skoll_Shorties Im kinda hoping Ulduar will be a huge zone that stretches underground all across the entirety of Northrend like a huge titan facility zone. And the hub could be where the entrance to all of it is

Them doing SMC in Midnight & it turning out extremely well. Makes me really wonder what they're gonna do for the Capital for Last Titan. Few ideas I keep turning to: - Ulduar - ICC - Warsong Hold / Valiance Keep - Wyrmrest Temple - Wintergrasp - Gundrak - New Dalaran(?)

@SputnikKobra @andrewdefrank Guarding what? Violence that never happens? Theres city guards around who also do other stuff. Trust me, they always feel so out of place, over the top, and pointless whenever I walk by.

At first I thought this was going to be a BS take but yes, I've actually had this exact argument with people. There is a very large neurological difference between having an AI summarize a book to you, even interacting with it, and sitting down and going through the pedagogical arc of the book. Reading the full book etches things much deeper, creating stronger engrams and associations. This is why I still write books and believe that books are one of the best ways to "download" knowledge and wisdom. A good book can be the compression of literally decades of wisdom and insight. Sometimes centuries. You just cannot do that with a chatbot.
