Cellist Amit Peled and pianist Daniel del Pino will present a captivating evening of music as part of Grossmont College’s Holocaust exhibition, Americans and the Holocaust. The program centers on the powerful work Bestemming (Destination) by four-time Grammy nominee Sharon Farber. In a deeply moving performance, Amit Peled will share the true story of Holocaust survivor Curt Lowens, combining live cello performance with narration to bring this history vividly to life. Although I’m proudly Jewish, I deeply appreciate how meaningful Easter weekend is for many of my Christian friends. Holy Saturday, in particular, speaks to something universal - suspension, timeless stillness, introspection, and a kind of fragile, quiet hope. למה אני מבקש תמיכה ציבורית? אחת הסיבות קשורה לשיחת הטלפון שקיבלתי אתמול מחוקר במשטרת ישראל. זימן אותי לחקירת סרק. זהו השלב שבו המשטר, באמצעות המשטרה, מבקש להלך אימים ולהעביר לאזרח מסר סמוי ומשתק: "עזוב, בשביל מה אתה צריך את הפעילות הזאת, תחזור לעריכת דין, שם יהיה לך שקט. מה מעניין אותך ביטול משפט לראש ממשלה, מה מעניין אותך חופש ביטוי מול המשטרה או הבסיג'. תעסוק בעניינך" הרבה מאוד אזרחים, אולי באופן מובן, מוותרים על התענוג. אבל לא אני. יש הרבה סיבות לתמוך בפעילות מול דיכוי ועוול שלטוני. אחת מהן היא בהעברת מסר אזרחי לשלטון: "האיש הזה לא פועל מטעם עצמו, אלא כמייצג שלנו. האיש הזה לא לבד, הוא מגובה בתמיכת רבות ורבים". ככל שהתמיכה הציבורית רחבה יותר, כוח הרדיפה מצטמצם יותר. לא לחלוטין, אך בהחלט קטן. אז ושב ומבקש תמיכה שתהדהד מול הפרצוף שלהם. של נתניהו, אבודרהם, גיא לוי, קובי יעקובי, רועי סטאר, צחי ברוורמן, עמית חדד ושאר חברי המזבלה. לינק לתמיכה: beactive.co.il/search?q=%D7%9…
