@TheGoldenCosmos I think there's a good chance that the 1st rule set won't have any legendaries. It'll be interesting to see how champions handles them when they do appear, if they'll be recruitable as normal or special recruitment

Fr though lil things like this only help my faith/copium that they'll keep Urshifu dexited from Champions for a long time yet 😌🙏

I've noticed a lot of people have been quick to dismiss there being any chance of any pokemon being distributed through Champions. Yes, you can't transfer pokemon out of Champions. But Champions could distribute pokemon through HOME.

@Toxic_Splash88 @GodmasterBun What flip flopping? Sure this game is free to start but it's a subscription model, we've yet to see how 'free' it is. I tend to prefer to just have a single purchase than a subscription.

The best part about Pokemon Champions compared to the other mainline games is that it no longer costs a full $60 game to play competitive Pokemon Since it's a free title, you don't need access to Switch Online just to play it

@GodmasterBun Well a single purchase is was cheaper than a subscription model but I see from a business perspective of they they've chosen a subscription model as it'll generate more revenue in the long run. Also SV didnt have a battle facility so.....

@PerturbedM That's the great thing, this is free so you aren't obligated to buy it if it's not the game for you :) And you're even more in luck because there are already Pokemon games like that! They're called mainline games.

@TrickRubyVGC @JoeMerrick I can see the logic to a degree. For people that aren't as familiar with pokemon they may not realise what is and isn't a final evo. Plus if there is a way to evolve mons in game or not does add complexity on their end.

@PerturbedM @JoeMerrick They’ve been clear they’ll come later. But like I said, its the stated reason for the omission that people are upset about, not the omission itself. The claim that it was to keep the game simple is kind of insulting.

I'm a bit perplexed at some of the takes I'm seeing regarding Champions not having unevolved Pokémon at launch Like, SV didn't have Clefairy for 10 months, Porygon2 for 13, Incineroar for 13 and you didn't have people saying it can't be the place for competitive due to it?

@JoeMerrick My gripes aside from different options being taken away, was that this could lead to a teaching moment that some not fully evolved Pokémon can be better than their full evolution. I can agree it's to make it simpler to ease in the new players that will join (1/2)

@JoeMerrick Not having Clefairy or Porygon2 because the evolution lines were simply not present is fine. I think people are mostly upset at the statement that they’re removed to keep the game simple for new players. It’s the why not the action itself.
