The FCC is ordering Disney to immediately file for renewal of its ABC TV station licenses within the next 30 days — years ahead of schedule (they weren’t due until 2028-2031).
Reason? Serious concerns over the company’s radical Diversity, Equity & Inclusion agenda.
The filing cites possible violations of the Communications Act of 1934, specifically the prohibition on unlawful discrimination.
Chairman Carr is calling it essential under the public interest standard.
FCC Chairman Carr broke it down on a podcast with Katie Miller (wife of White House Chief of Staff Stephen Miller).
