PHOTOS: Vendors have started returning to designated markets following the enforcement of a trade order by @KCCAUG, which saw them evicted from Kampala City streets. While some vendors expressed relief at resuming business in safer environments, others cited persistent challenges, such as low customer turnout and poor working conditions, which continue to affect their sales. Some of the stalls and lockups in Busega Market remain empty, highlighting the ongoing adjustments as vendors settle back into the markets, Shabibah Nakirigya reports. #MonitorUpdates

It’s now 40 years of @KagutaMuseveni decades ago promised not to overstay in power, rose after a contestation of the 1980 elections irregularities. Rate Museveni’s 10 point program on Democracy, Fight corruption, Security, National Unity, better Economy… and 1995 constitution.

Majorine Nassali, an election agent in Makindye West Division, has attributed the low voter turnout in today’s local government council polls across Uganda to frustrations stemming from last week’s general election results. She, however, encourages electorates to cast their votes, emphasising that voting is a constitutional right. #MonitorUpdates #UgandaDecides2026 📹: @PrinceWdavid
