@FPL_Harry Come on now Harry, don’t be a sheep. Dont want to rock the boat is it? Rule is two defensive touch’s and it’s not an assist. How can it be an own goal without the 2nd defender touch. May as well start giving Bruno points just for being in the starting 11.
English

For anyone wondering why Bruno got the assist this is exactly why…
If it had gone
Bruno - Senesi - Maguire
Bruno would get the assist
So
Bruno - Senesi - Hill OG
The same

@therealmav_FPL @FplMode @FPL__Raptor @FPLMattW @FPL_Harry @BigManBakar @LetsTalk_FPL Do you agree if the ball were to touch Senesi, then a Utd player scored, Bruno would still be awarded the assist?
English

@torpiii13 @FPLPhysioo If he got a little bit more on the header it would of cleared both Hill and Maguire, it would have then been called a defensive header, you wouldn’t say, ‘he deflected it away from goal’ , but becuase it landed short then it’s a deflection? Nonsense lol🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
English

@torpiii13 @FPLPhysioo He flicked it on to try and clear it. It couldn’t be much clearer.
English

@torpiii13 @FPLPhysioo Nah I’m not, yeah there was a touch, but there wasn’t a deflection. That’s the difference, the rule states a deflection, not a touch. Two completely different things. Intentions 100% matter.
English

@torpiii13 @FPLPhysioo You could argue that but you’d be wrong. Attempting to do something and it falling short or the ball hitting you without to having any idea what’s happing is too completely different things.
English

@RealBallKnower3 @mindset292521 @OfficialFPL Hence not getting enough on the header. It’s like trying to explain something to a child. He obviously didn’t try to clear on the the back post little bro 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
English

@RealBallKnower3 @mindset292521 @OfficialFPL It didn’t deflected off anyone. Sensi deliberately tried to flick the ball on the clear it. It was a deliberate action, he knew what he was trying to do m. This is not a deflection in anyway.

⚽ Goal
🅰️ Assist

Another Gameweek, another Bruno Fernandes masterclass 😮💨

English

@RealBallKnower3 @AL3Xavfc @mindset292521 @OfficialFPL You clearly havnt if you dont know what a defection is 😂🤦🏻♂️
English

@AL3Xavfc @mindset292521 @RVR48 @OfficialFPL I’ve played more football than you’ve ever even watched bro 😂 sorry you can’t read, I’ve spelled it out very clearly. No point in arguing with you
English

@RealBallKnower3 @OfficialFPL Yes he jumped and purposely flicked the ball on to try and clear it. It was clearly a deliberate action, he didn’t get enough on it. Absolutely never a deflection though.
English

@RVR48 @OfficialFPL He purposely flicked the ball directly to the back post where Maguire is waiting? What
English

@FPL_Marcello @FPLMeerkat Wrong, a defection is typically accidental or uncontrolled — the player doesn’t deliberately play or control the ball; it just bounces off them (e.g., off a leg, body, head, or arm).
Sensi knew exactly what he was doing when he flicked the ball on
Was in no way a deflection
English

@FPLMeerkat Yeah
Bruno assist
Senesi deflection
Hill own goal
English

Basically, this is FPL realising this is the first time this has ever happened with the new rules and trying to figure out what to do
Technically it's taken 2 defensive deflections and Bruno shouldn't get the assist, but if any Man United player had touched it rather than Hill it would have counted
The same number of touches, but a player on the opposite team, and it would stand...
It's a weird grey area that isn't covered in the rules! 😵💫

@zx0008912 @Lyn11221Lynn @OfficialFPL You’re speaking complete nonsense. You can’t have an own goal without the defender touching it. Hence defensive touch 🤦🏻♂️🤡
English

@Lyn11221Lynn @OfficialFPL So answer me this very simply - did Hill get a defensive touch or own goal?
English

@RVR48 @OfficialFPL Can you not read. It says right there “If an own goal is scored following a deflected pass, an assist is awarded.”
English

@torpiii13 @ElementaryFPL @FPLPhysioo Yes, final touch by a defender, hence a 2nd defensive touch 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ so you saying it needs to touch two defenders before the third puts it into the net. Absolutely ridiculous comment 😂😂
English

@ElementaryFPL @FPLPhysioo first of all, whoever says "cartel" just sounds silly and loses all credibility immediately.
secondly, i didn't captain Bruno and i think this is Bruno assist.
Hill's own goal isn't a second defensive touch. it's a final touch that resulted in a goal
English

@torpiii13 @FPLPhysioo How is that a deflected pass. The defender purposely flicked it on. It wasn’t deflected.
English

@FPLPhysioo yes, and that is a "deflected pass", no? so it's a Bruno assist according to that sentence from the rules
