@Zhe_Adamant @Roblox_RTC PH will have to wait years to collect any big $$. ROBLOX consistently operates at a loss & doesn't pay corp taxes as a result. PH does have a 2% BS tax they can apply to gross revenue earned in PH, which amounts to a few mill a year. Not enough to affect stock values.

The Philippines has made 3 demands of Roblox ahead of the April 10th deadline, otherwise, they may face a national ban. 1. Roblox must establish a physical office in the Philippines 2. Roblox must overhaul its age verification protocols, rather than using facial recognition or self-declared birthdays, instead they are recommending the Philippine Identification System, which is a National ID System. 3. Roblox must provide authorities with "necessary information to track down digital predators and cybercriminals" Secretary of the DICT, Henry Aguda, stated that the process will uphold legal safety net and due process, requiring court orders and subpoenas.

Incompetent DMCA actions have ruined thousands of legitimate creators & bled the company millions of USD over unnecessary R$ refunds & wasted staff hours handling hundreds of thousands of item appeals over bogus or mishandled takedowns. A no-bullshit, rigorous training course on actual item evaluation & copyright law should be mandatory for all DMCA agents. And to stop the clown show, experienced creators should oversee & police the program, because clearly internal Roblox "expertise" isn't cutting it. I say this after seeing my own fam and friends get victimized by incomprehensible DMCA bullshit that wouldn't pass any 'sane' test in the real world.

Roblox is now issuing TRADEMARK VIOLATIONS for any content that includes the word "Dominus" in the title. This includes 2D T-Shirts and clothing.

#Roblox spent years encouraging players to pour millions into Robux for limited classic faces - only to migrate them to dynamic heads that make them look worse. That's not progress; that's hurting your most invested customers. Your idea to give users the option of switching between classic face and dynamic head modes would solve this & keep everyone happy.

@Shedletsky And they do get mad lol, often lured by political promises of 'wiping out student loans' via the taxation of others who never had the luxury of a college education. All boils down to bad advice and poor planning. I blame the parents 1st and foremost.

@RealCV10K From the perspective of someone who grew up in a middle class American family, I would separate these two categories of jobs into "real jobs" and "fake jobs". It's fine to have a fake job, just don't be mad when you don't make any money yeah?

I often speak with students who are victims of poor parenting/school guidance to pursue cliche 'passion' paths. The end result is substantial debt & work options limited to low paying fields unrelated to their junk degrees. Imo a substantial minority of college courses and degrees are scams.

@RealCV10K I think there are a lot of kids who are just told to "follow their passion" and that they can be successful at anything. This is directionless and generally bad advice. They go into massive debt to study some fake job degree at college and then can't make any money.

Yeah, I watched my wife and kid lose their minds over the UGC moderation process about a dozen times the past year. "Cruel and psychopathic" are words they use to describe it. That said, Its pretty common for uploaders to use burner accounts now due to the moderation trainwreck.

Roblox's DMCA agents wrongly claim ownership over Valkyrie UGC items that bear no resemblance to Roblox's brand. Valks are 1000-year-old Norse mythology concepts that belong to no gaming company. This DMCA overreach stifles creativity and misuses the process. @lucidsugc
