@RealJamesWoods I'll believe it when I see him in cuffs and perp walked.
How many high-profile people have been arrested and convicted since 47 took office? Pam Bondi & Kash Patel are big disappointments.

The Senate must reconvene
Immediately
A staggering 260,000 DHS employees and their families have gone without pay for more than a month
This is not a time for any Senate recess—let alone an unusually long one
Nor was it a good time to recess a month ago—at the beginning of the DHS shutdown—when the Senate recessed for ten days, ignoring my stern warnings about the dire consequences that decision would produce
As it turns out, I was right; what I warned would happen has happened
To double down on the same mistake now—and recess for not just for one week but for two—would be unforgivable
Bad things happen when we make bad decisions
And bad decisions are far more likely to occur when scheduling decisions are prompted more by a desire to let senators leave Washington—whether for international travel or just to go home—than to achieve favorable policy outcomes

This is not just a memory, it is the life I have lived, and the reason I will never stay silent.
In 2006, while working for the US-funded Arabic news network Alhurra, I was sent to Iraq.
My work took me deep inside prisons, sitting face to face with jihadists and terrorists, hearing, without filters, the ideology that fuels violence and destruction.
Then came the response. Al-Qaeda issued a FATWA against me. Fatwa is a religious decree that branded me an enemy and called for my death by any of their followers.
We alerted our office in DC. I was moved into the Green Zone, and two armed bodyguards were assigned to protect me.
But I refused to leave.
I stayed. I finished the work. Because exposing the truth mattered more than fear.
For more than 25 years, I have been confronting this ideology, challenging it, exposing it, and warning the West about its consequences.
I know how it spreads. I know how it hides behind narratives. And I know exactly what happens when people choose to ignore it.
I did not escape it only to watch it take root in the United States 🇺🇸
I will not be silent. I will not step back. And I will not allow the ideology I fought for decades to be imported into the country that gave me a shelter from these jihadists.

@RealBrittHughes And @TheDemocrats, liberal women are as silent as the dead...

@j0ker937 Welp, that's what happens when you breed the instincts right out of them in favor of a "cute" face... 🤣

@BasedMikeLee My preference is that @LeaderJohnThune is NOT the leader anymore!! He's compromised and our country is LOST in November if he stays...

The Senate GOP has exactly two options if it wants to avoid drifting into irrelevance and a stunning loss in November:
(1) Keep the filibuster and 60-vote cloture rule fully intact, but stand ready to overcome Senate Democrats’ unprecedented pattern of obstruction by aggressively enforcing the “talking filibuster”—a move that would require senators to work longer, harder hours and take fewer recesses, but lead to more thoughtful, careful deliberation in the legislative process,
OR
(2) Nuke the filibuster.
I strongly prefer the first option.
But we must choose either one or the other—because the status quo isn’t working and the resulting inertia isn’t just making it impossible to pursue a coherent agenda; it’s hurting the American people.
What’s your preference?

For eleven years, a 68-year-old retired forklift truck driver from Mirfield, England began each day by listening to his late wife's voice on their home answering machine message.
She had passed away from cancer in 2003. He never changed phone companies. Every time a new provider offered him a better deal, he asked the same question: if I switch, will her voice be kept? The answer was always no. So he stayed.
Then in December 2014, Virgin Media, his telephone provider, deleted the message during routine technical work.
Stan Beaton described the moment he found out as one of the worst of his life. "I just could not tell people how it affected me," he told BBC Radio Leeds. "It really did devastate me."
He contacted Virgin Media and told them what had happened. The executive director of engineering later described the task of finding it as searching for a needle in a haystack. The chances of recovery, he said, were slim.
A team of engineers spent three days searching through archived servers anyway.
They found it.
Virgin Media sent Stan a CD with the recording. He broke down in tears the moment he heard her voice again.
Is there a voice you would do anything to hear one more time?

NEW: San Francisco judge Linda Colfax has released a man who fatally assaulted an 84-year-old because the prison sentence would have a "poor impact" on him.
25-year-old Antoine Watson was granted probation just two months after he was convicted of involuntary manslaughter and assault.
Watson violently assaulted Vicha Ratanapakdee in 2021, which resulted in his death just two days later.
He was acquitted of first-and second-degree murder charges and instead convicted of involuntary manslaughter.
Colfax says Watson being in prison would have a "poor impact" on him and didn't think he should be there because he "expressed remorse," according to the SF Chronicle.
Colfax is accused of hiding details from the jury in an apparent effort to help Watson escape prison time.
Infuriating and evil.

@realMaalouf Where are you, @TheDemocrats feminists? Those Christian women will be r@ped and killed when all the brave men protecting them are gone.

SYRIA: A group of young Muslims entered the Christian town of Al-Suqaylabiyah in Hama and tried to rape Christian girls. Brave Christian men fought them and kicked them out.
They later returned with a government-backed mob, looted homes and properties, opened fire, and arrested several Christian men who they plan to execute.
This is daily life for Christians living under Islamic rule.

Where is @LeaderJohnThune going during recess? Home? An exotic vacation?
I hope his office is inundated with disappointed but respectful Americans. Last night's 3 AM surrender is a complete betrayal of the American people.
