🙋🏻‍♂️ 🗳️ I’m very pleased to announce that I’m standing for Sheffield City Council on May the 7th, as the @reformparty_uk candidate for Mosborough Ward! 🇬🇧 😁 I work two jobs - on building sites by day & as a barman in the evenings & weekends - so I have real personal experience of the pressures facing ordinary working people & businesses in Sheffield. A Labour-Lib Dem-Green coalition of chaos runs our city. They back mass immigration & brand millions of ordinary voters extremists for demanding common sense border controls. They’ve just voted through a plan to tarmac over our precious local countryside (yes, that includes Green Councillors, believe it or not)! Sheffield urgently needs genuine diversity of views on the council. As your local Councillor, I’ll champion businesses by fighting the damaging employer NI hike, soaring business rates, & costly council licences & restrictions. Sheffield residents - whichever of the 28 wards you fall under, you ALL have the opportunity to vote Reform UK on the 7th of May. Use it to elect a group of Councillors who will shine a light on the waste & political posturing taking place at the moment & who will use their platform to promote enterprise, jobs & a common sense approach to housing. 🚨CANDIDATE ANNOUNCEMENT!🚨 My name is Matt Smith and I am proud to be your Reform UK candidate for the Park & Arbourthorne ward in Sheffield this May. Our city has been taken for granted by Labour for decades, and the current administration has driven Sheffield into the ground. This ends now, as with a real alternative in Reform UK the future really does look bright for this great city which has brought the world so much. Since December I have been out meeting residents in every spare moment, and have now knocked over 4,000 doors across the Park & Arbourthorne ward. The message is clear, people are sick to the back teeth of Labour and are desperate for REAL change. Many of the stories residents have told me are just shocking, and if elected I will fight to put things right for you and your family, and those who genuinely need help in our society. Common sense and fairness will be restored, a better deal and brighter future for our local residents. I will fight to… ❌ Scrap the Clean Air Zone and support local businesses. 👮‍♂️ Make our streets safe again with zero tolerance on crime and antisocial behaviour. 🏘️ Prioritise homes for local people, something I feel very strongly about indeed after all the stories I’ve heard. 🚙 Fix our broken roads and end the war on motorists, to improve commutes and make the city more accessible again. 🌳 Protect our local green spaces for future generations. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Restore pride in our community and country, especially this World Cup year. I am an engineer by trade and I want to fix our city. That means fixing our roads with the right tarmac that lasts more than a couple of weeks, and putting pressure on the South Yorkshire Mayoral Authority to fix the tram tracks properly instead of the constant patchwork jobs and endless disruption. Then there is the issue of our deteriorating council homes, the list really does go on. It is between Reform and Labour in the Park & Arbourthorne ward, a real choice this May. We at Reform UK are committed to putting Sheffield back on the map, and correcting years of both Tory and Labour failure and neglect.
