@Staticasaurus @3amcards @nestapendragon No problem, the big reason for creatures in front of lamds in tournament play, from what i understand, is for coverage, watching it on stream its easier to follow a game if the usually more important pieces are all in the middle of the screen.

Is it morally okay to leave this down with your lands in EDH? I used to have this in my Dina deck, I thought it was a fun Easter egg! And I thought people knew all about it. Instead it caused a lot of confusion. Do people still have strong MTG feelings about this card?

@UsagiKaede1 That said, while you don't have to follow MTR4.7 outside CompREL or ProREL, it's still a good idea and most players follow most of it already because that's how they learned to play and they're mostly common sense rules.

@UsagiKaede1 Judge here, this is only in the tournament rules at competitive level or above. Most people are playing at Regular REL, the JAR and CR say nothing about where these cards need to be.

Its illegal to put this with your lands according to the game rules.

@Staticasaurus @3amcards @nestapendragon Judge here. There is a rule about it, but it's not in the CR. What you're talking about is MTR 4.7, which is in the Magic Tournament Rules, not the Comprehensive Rules. It also specifies this applies only to CompRel and above.

@3amcards @nestapendragon lands in front is actually against the rules. Theres clarification on it in the comprehensive rules.

@Brewers_Kitchen Im more looking at it for the cascade off wild-magic sorcerer, but thats mostly because my plan for capstone is putting it in a Prosper, Tome Bound commander deck.

Turns out Paradigm "casts" a copy of the spell, so it even gets an extra cascade every turn from Imoti. Capstone is such a messed up card, especially if you ramp into it 🤣
