NATO was built on the principle that alliance membership comes with obligations. @realDonaldTrump is simply enforcing what every previous administration let slide. Allies who sat out US operations against Iran while enjoying American security guarantees should have expected a bill. Alliances without consequences aren't alliances. They're free rider programs.
