I gave up on all my hopes and dreams I’ve given up on every woman who’s ever loved me I’ve given up on every job Ive ever had I was supposed to go to the MLB I was gonna be an artist I was gonna make a million dollars I gave up on myself a long time ago I feel the weight of the years on my back and I see it in the bags under my eyes and every time I take a loss it’s monumental but every win is expected it’s just another thing really it’s nothing it means nothing to me if I won it all back and then some I’d give it right back because it’s nothing to me sometimes it feels like growth is nothing but pain the pain is what grows me and when I don’t feel it I’m stuck in place I just want to talk to my grandma one more time man I wish I could’ve seen my buddy Nathan grow into the man I could never be he deserved better but we play the hand we’re dealt some of us got a full house I’m holdin dog shit yet I’m still playin I’m rambling online to a bunch of people who don’t see me they don’t feel me they just press like and keep scrolling I’m finally sober and the walls are closing in on me and they just press like and keep scrolling I’m tryna imagine what it would feel like to bleed out to see if I could handle it but my first thought is my mom she already lost my dad and her dad too she just lost her mom if she lost her son I don’t think she could handle that I keep catching myself thinking about how much more time I have left with her I just want to escape all my responsibilities I want to give up on everyone because all I’ve done my whole life is give up it feels like my final days and they just press like and keep scrolling I’m suffocating and they just press like and keep scrolling if you saw me you’d see a smile and you’d hear a laugh but I’m crying rn because when everything’s gone and your system is empty you have nothing left but the guilt the regret all the feelings you’ve been avoiding all you have left is the memories and the words to describe them I’m rambling bc I don’t care if you read this honestly id rather you didn’t because I’m supposed to be nonchalant I’m supposed to be cool and funny and completely disconnected from my soul I’m supposed to just press like and keep scrolling
