🚨 THIS BROKE ME. A high school student with special needs… just trying to fit in… just wanting to be accepted… gets humiliated instead. For what? A laugh? A moment of attention? I raised my 3 girls better than that. They were taught to be kind — to animals, to the elderly, to the disabled… to people who need it most. In school, they sat with the kids nobody else would sit with. They saw the ones others ignored. And I’ll never forget this… When my middle daughter was in 10th grade, a teacher personally chose her to help in the special needs class. Not because she was pretty. Not because she was popular. Not because she was on honor roll. Because of her heart. That’s what mattered. So when I see this kind of cruelty… I don’t just blame the kid. I look at where it started. Because bullying doesn’t come out of nowhere. It’s taught. Or it’s tolerated. Or it’s ignored. And that’s the real problem. That young man didn’t deserve humiliation… He deserved a friend. He deserved someone to sit next to him. To talk to him. To make him feel like he belongs. We don’t need more “cool” kids. We need more kids with heart. Because at the end of the day… that’s what people remember. So I’ll ask you this— Are we raising kids to fit in… or to stand up for the ones who don’t? 💔
